The remote worked great right out of the box. I was skeptical because I though each remote was unique to the receiver, but it matched up pertly.

I just put batteries in it and my Roku responded with no additional programming. The only thing I would mention is that it's smaller than the original Roku remote which makes the buttons smaller, and I took one star off for that. It's very slick plastic and I have large hands so it's harder than the original for me to use. It keeps moving around in my hand and with the smaller buttons it can be a little frustrating to use. But that's a minor inconvenience compared to fighting with a remote that didn't work half the time.

Works but you'll find better.
I really don't like it much. Although it works it is slow and, most annoyingly, the main button doesn't click when pressed.

This remote was purchased to replace one that our dogs chewed up. No programming required. Put batteries in it and ready to use. Price was not bad either. Will purchase another if the girls decide to have another snack!!!
