Works well
The filter fits my Brita, but I had to push it in harder than expected to get it to work. Once installed, it works great—water tastes clean and fresh. Good value overall, just be prepared to apply a little extra force when inserting it.

Britta provides better water quality.
I've been using Britta filters for some time now. They provide a product that has improved taste. I can't speak to smell because we do not have a sulfur or other odor to our water.

Not worth money saved
I usually replace my Brita filter at the same time I replace my dual M3 sink filter. This filter is making the double filtered water merky. Our New Mexico well water is so full of minerals, etc, that we triple filter water for coffee making. I will never buy off brand again. These filters miss the mark for quality water.
