MAXELL 556531 Floppy Disks 30-pk

30 3.5 inch floppy discs. Really, what can you say? The few I have tried work so, good. My issue was the misleading photo. I thought I was going to get a 30 pack retail box, what I got was 3 stacks of 10 discs wrapped in newspaper and packed in an old duracell procell bulk battery box. I guess the description didn't say anything one way or the other so it isn't false advertising, and the discs seem to work fine, so 3 stars!---Update December 14, 2012---I have been contacted by the owner of this company wanting to make my issue right. I was very impressed with his sincerity and he is sending me out some replacement discs free of charge. I really do appreciate going above and beyond like this so I have added 2 additional stars for helping to restore my faith in humanity.It is easy to forget that many of the sellers on Amazon are small, family owned companies that are doing their best to satisfy customers needs and not multinational conglomerates with no time for a single customer problem. Mistakes happen, and it is how we react that defines a company. Thank you Malelo and Company for reminding me of that!

I PURCHASED A FLOPPY DRIVE FOR MY LAPTOP THAT DID NOT HAVE ONE INSTALLED TO SET UP SOME INDIVIDUAL STORAGE FILES,ONLY TO LEARN THAT THE DRIVE WOULD NOT RECORD ON MY OLDER LOW DENSITY DISKS AND NATURALLY I COULD NOT LOCATE THE HIGH DENSITY (1.44) DISKS LOCALLY, SO AMAZON CAME TO MY RESCUE AGAIN - THESE DISKS FIT MY NEEDS PERFECTLY HAVE RECORDED ON THEM AND THEY WORK GREAT. IF YOU NEED THIS SIZE DISK I WOULD SUGGEST YOU LOOK AT THESE AS THEY ARE BECOMING HARDER TO LOCATE. GREAT PRICE, BRAND, QUALITY AND QUANTITY. THE ONLY THING MISSING IS A STORAGE CASE, BUT NO PROBLEM.

The diskettes arrived in good condition and work as good as new ones. Only 2 were missing and that fact was stated up front before I purchased the product. I gave the product a 4 out of 5 because I could not track the regular shipment and was given an estimated time of arrival of between 1 to 3 weeks. The product arrived in 11 days after I placed the order. I am unsure if I will purchase from this supplier again because I am used to being able to track my order be it by way of USPS, UPS, or FedEx shipment shortly after it ships.

A box of 30 3.5" disks for my retro computer - just what I needed! The disks are all in top-notch condition with labels for each one.

There was some type of delivery mix up. I never received the item. The seller is to refund my money.

I received unopened disks. These disks are new old stock, meaning they have been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for possibly 20 years or more, so they may have lost the magnetization of their tracks and sectors over time. This can be corrected by low-level formatting them in DOS (FORMAT A: /U). This will write new tracks and sectors and make the disks usable again. In the past I ordered a 50-pack and they were Macintosh-formatted. These can also be reformatted to PC format in DOS.

Floppy discs came in a box that looked like it fell off the back of a truck, no lie. I responded to a rating inquiry and said so, next thing the company is calling me asking to make it right. So okay, I call them, busy as I am. They pass me around on the phone, putting me on hold for like twenty minutes. I then realized that they were purposely doing that to punish me for giving them a lousy, and TRUE, rating. The discs work okay but the company not so much. FC

Based on reviews I had read about the product, I didn't expect much. Actually, I fully expected the floppy discs to be unpacked and was just hoping they would work! I was floored when I received the shipment and they were very neatly packaged in 3 original boxes of 10. So far, so good. I've ordered more and am awaiting delivery. Thanks for having a dated, but much needed product for the few of us out here.
