Excellent quality
This knife uses CPM154 steel, this is good steel that most people consider ‘high end’ or ‘lower tier high end’. It offers good edge retention, hardness and corrosion resistance. The nicest part about the knife is that it’s copper, it’s heavier then other Leek models but that is what’s nice; it has a feeling of heft and quality that you don’t get with some other knives. The action is smooth but a bit heavy when closing but that is normal for spring assisted knives, speaking of action the knife has a satisfying sound when opening or closing the blade. Some things to consider is that because it’s copper it will look very shiny at first but it will start showing patina, 24 hours after I opened mine from its plastic air tight seal, the copper started turning darker. My knife has an almost ‘burned bronze’ look because of the patina, I like that. As far as value, this is good value for the money, it’s not necessary cheap nor is it overly expensive. If someone wants a cheaper Leek knife be prepared to get cheaper steel and cheaper materials. The only bad thing that I can ding this knife on is sharpness, it’s less then impressive but of course it can always be sharpened.

Great knife, lovely material
The copper definitely adds a lot of weight when comparing it to a standard Leek. The patina that the copper has developed over the last 3 years with relatively light usage is beautiful. I've taken the belt clip and blade lock off as I keep it to use at my desk. Blade has retained it's edge well and no chipping or bending of the tip. I don't understand how people give this blade a bad review because of the discoloration of the copper over time... look at pennies people... most are not brilliant and shiny.

Perfect Pocketknife
I have quite a few expensive pocket knives ($250+). The Leek is my favorite, by far. Found this copper handle Leek and had to have it. They are a little heavier than the aluminum handles which makes them perfectly balanced. The copper will tarnish over time and it makes them look classically beautiful. Bought these two as gifts. Edge retention and sharpness is excellent. They come very sharp from the manufacturer. Also found out Kershaw has a lifetime warranty and if you’re by the factory they’ll sharpen it for you for free.

The best looking Kershaw Knife
I have had many Kershaw and still do. All of them are the Ken Onion Leek design and this one is my favorite. Usually I don't care about the esthetics of a daily carry pocket knife but I do with my copper Kershaw. It's purdy, it's fictional and it's the perfect weight to let you know it's in your pocket but not over bearing.otly heavy. If it get scratched up just watch a how to clean copper video. Only thing bad to say is that the safety mechanism sucks. It is made of something not to the quality of the rest of the knife. Dropped it once and more safety mechanism.

Great one of a kind knife!
Color changes over time due to the copper scales and makes it an unique knife to own. Quality is very solid.

My Everyday Carry
I was in the market for a new knife that was small, sharp, sleek, and looked nice. It also needed to be assisted opening - I’m so glad I tried this one out because I LOVE IT! It’s the perfect size to carry every day and not be too bulky in my pocket. The assisted opening is strong and quick but still easy to close. The clip is nice and solid. And it’s a beautiful knife, I get so many compliments on it and I love the way the patina has developed on it since I’ve been using it. It’s got a nice smooth feel and a beautiful finish, well worth the money and it feels like it will last forever with proper care.

Beautiful knife, fragile shell
Really pretty knife, the copper picks up an attractive color as it ages. Holds an edge pretty well. The pointiness of the blade comes in handy, though it's definitely not an emergency pry or screw knife. The biggest downfall to me, this is the second Kershaw SpeedSafe knife I have bought in a year that has stopped opening all the way. It gets about 90% of the way open but doesn't lock. The beautiful copper on this is not as thick as I thought, it appears to be a thin shell, so it will pick up a ding or two depending on how you treat it. Nice knife to have, I don't know if it quite qualifies as an EDC.

Great Knife!
Love this knife. It's well made and heavy. The blade snaps out very easily. A little more difficult to close however. But you get used to it. The blade steel is much better than the lower priced model.
