When you need it to stick
So my wife and I had some extra carpet after doing three room. So we decided to use it in a spare room, We used this tape to help keep the carpet in place, it was very easy to use, stuck to what I needed it to, pieces that we pieced together stick together and hold in place. This tape works great and at 30 feet x 2 in it was perfect to do the job. I recommend this product and I will be getting more as I have other places I'm going to use it to tape down more carpet we buy. Recommended

Easy to use and very strong.
Great product, a great double sided tape, with a separate non stick tape in between.Used it to hold down carpet on the garage to mud room steps. Installation was easy and two strips the width of the carpet, are holding everything tight so far.

STRONG double sided tape, not a grip pad but it works
We have LVP and rugs slide all over on it. I definitely didn’t read the product description closely because I was hoping for something with a tape on one side and grip on the other so I could lift certain rugs when my Roomba runs. However, it’s too strong and when I lift the rug, the tape stays on the flooring, not on the rug. With that being said, I’m reviewing it based on if I actually read the description fully, because that’s on me.The double sided tape itself is very strong and works amazing for rugs that you don’t want to move. My Roomba still lifts some of the corners, even with the tape but overall it does the job. My biggest complaint is that when you try to peel it off of LVP, it’s so strong that it lifts the flooring planks up so you have to stand around it to hold the planks in place. It doesn’t leave a reside on the flooring or the rug.

perfect with carpet to carpet
perfect. I tried those little sticker things that you put in the corners underneath the carpet.. and they usually work fine for the bathroom floors, but I needed something for my area rug in my carpeted room. I tried the stickers but just ended up ruining them bc they didn’t hold the rug at all. First I just did the corners with thus, but that wasn’t enough, mainly bc I use this rug quite often when i’m working at home and it’s been challenging to get it to stop bunching up and moving. Drives me insane. Anyway so I ended up doing like 7 or 8 long rows the length of the rug spaced an inch or two apart.. so it’s essentially completely taped and it hasn’t moved the tiniest bit !! I had to slightly alter a few places and lifting this from the carpet was not easy.. this was stuck !! but in a good way !! 🤣I will keep this on hand prob for the rest of my life.. not sure if all brands of this style tape are this good or if this brand is just goat. not sure but I will buy more when I need it. Most people it might last forever but I have this thing with vacuuming 🤣and I haven’t tried the rug yet since I taped it bc the vacuum is like an industrial grade so it’s super powerful and sucks up everything even too much so i’ve been scared. So I may have to redo this every time I vacuum it not sure yet. Best purchase in a minute.

Carpet Tape grips and cuts easily.
Carpet tape as described. Easy to work with. I purchased a new throw rug for a hallway. It did not have rubber backing and I needed it to stay in place securely. I purchased Carpet Tape. It keeps my rug in place. No slipping or sliding.

Does not work with all types of rubber.
I bought it to tape down some thick anti slip rubber mats but unfortunately they barely adhered to them and I had to nail them instead. It did work well on the welcome mat though. The welcome mat had latex or a thin rubber backing and it seemed to stick to that. The adhesion to the welcome is good enough that it doesn't slide around when walking on it but isn't strong enough that the back of the mat rips off when I try removing the mat from the tape. They tape is good at sticking to the wood floor and was easy to remove right after. It did not leave any residue on the floor but it was only on for a few minutes so it might be different after a few years. It was however a pain to cut these with scissors as they kept gumming it up so it would not get a clean cut and it left residue on the scissors but I eventually got it off.

Works and removes as promised.
We purchased this tape 3 years ago to use to fasten carpet runners to our engineered hardwood stair. We bought the 4" wide x 30 yards and used a utility knife to slice it in half, putting a 2" length of tape along the entire length of the runner on each long outer edge. I was very, very fearful that this tape would destroy our expensive stairs. However, I am happy to report that while the runners we purchased are in need of replacement, (they were not high quality to begin with) they have stayed in place this entire time, on a highly trafficked set of steps. And when we removed 2 of the runners, the tape came up quite easily and left a tiny bit of residue that was easily removed with a bit of Dawn dish soap in water. NO harm to the stair wood at all.We are ordering the tape again as we have some higher quality runners to replace the ones in use atm. The low-quality ones do have a rubber back and were very thin to begin with. The one's I'd like to use are an old-fashioned braided rug, quality product. The tape appears to have stuck to the carpet fiber just fine and is anchored on a test step at the moment. I hope to update this review with a performance update in a couple of weeks.meanwhile, on engineered hardwood flooring, this tape with the rubber-backed stair runner and landing mats, worked outstandingly well, both in adherence and removability.

As advertised, comes up clean and easy
I just took tape from my hard wood floors. I was expecting to have to scrape residue off the floors. Indidnt care, I had old dogs that I needed to ensure they safety.Surprise!! The tape on all the rugs,6 of them, came up clean!!!! The 'hardest' part was just getting it started and the rest just came off.Fabulous product!!!!!!
