Funny, real, uplifting, relatable
Lisa Smith Molinari’s book is a pleasure to read. It is laugh out loud funny, sometimes because of the funny and sometimes because of the challenges of life we have all experienced. She does a terrific job of sharing her life as a mom, a wife, a woman creeping into middle age, and a military spouse in short, easy to read stories that capture her life and our shared humanity. Reading her book was like sitting with a good good friend and catching up over coffee or a glass of wine. Particularly in these challenging times it is a welcome uplifting reminder that we are all human and in this together even while apart.

Funny and refreshingly honest
At a time when we've been programmed to hide behind a veil of perfection via social media, it's so refreshing to read an honest account of a normal, imperfect, totally relatable, and loving family life. Don't hesitate, buy the Meat and Potatoes of LIfe, read, relate and laugh out loud.

Best read of the Summer!
A captivating look into the trials and tribulations of raising a family as a military spouse. Lisa takes you on a humorous journey through the struggles and triumphs of her family as they navigate their way through this thing called life. Highly recommend this book even if you aren't from a military family. The struggles are very much the same for anyone that has raised a family Anyone that likes the writings of Erma Bombeck will love this book.

An intimate and light-hearted look at a military family
I absolutely loved it and connected with so much of it. I was a military wife also for 20 years and have 3 kids. It was so light and brought humor during this otherwise strange time. It was laugh out loud funny in some parts and yet tender and emotional in others. What a great book club read!
