I can do it with one hand under ideal conditions, but I can't imagine it would be easy when it's wet, and maybe your hands cold. To be fair - I think all the kelp anchors based on this design would pose the same challenges. The shape of the anchor itself is just tough to apply even pressure on.With kelp fishing, I'm bouncing from one structure to another, and it would become a chore to re-anchor again and again.But in terms of parts and workmanship, it's a good value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm a pretty strong guy and it takes both of my hands ... *by J***. on August 19, 2016* It does everything it's supposed to do. I only rated it 4 stars because it's in my opinion that the manufacturer made the force necessary to open this clip a little too extreme. I'm a pretty strong guy and it takes both of my hands to open it up. Also...it was nice that they supplied a zig-zag cleat. It would have been better if they not only provided rivets, but well nuts as well. I can't fit the head of a rivet gum between the slats of the cleat so I had to go out and buy some well nuts. Not a big deal.
