SpeeCoGate Anchor for Round Tube Gate 1-3/4" to 2" Diameter, Prevents Swinging and Sagging, Red, S16100200

I can push and pull it with the handle up and down with my own hand making it pointless for holding up the end of a gate to prevent sagging as the listing claims.As a simple Anchor it will work, but theres absolutely zero ability to hold up the end of a gate which was the point of this item for me.So Now I have to come up with a different option other than just setting the end of my gate on something to prevent stress/sag on the gate hinges.

I replaced a wooden gate at the top of my driveway that has unusual proportions and spans about 12 feet. One side for the walkthrough gate is 3 foot wide and the other is 8 feet to get my truck in and out and I needed something strong to hold the weight of the 8 foot span. Enter this wonderful product. Although meant for farm style gates I knew I could make it work. I removed the provide drop pin and replaced it with a longer, smaller diameter, pin. My issue was making up the difference so the locking mechanism engaged. How did I do it? A simple 3/8 washer closed the gap and allowed the lock to catch, and extremely tight I should add. The release is difficult to use one handed but again it's designed for farm gates and low to the ground where a person would likely use their foot to step on the release. The popular fence company could not help me so I'm glad I found this product. Thank you for also answering my question I posted.

Worked great but had to notch a spot on them to make them keep from sagging while open otherwise really satisfied and would recommend

Worked perfect for what we wanted. Added a concrete pad with a hole in it to latch the gate closed. Cows cant push it open now

Works great on a double gate that used to be difficult to close on a windy day. A note to the manufacturer, though not sure if they'll see this, the package contained 8 washers and no nuts. I had some that worked but if I hadn't, this rating would have been down in the 2 star range.

I was able to adjust for ground height and the gates stay put.

Nicely painted to last long. Recommended!!

Good looking product but does not come with hardware. Tractor supply sells it with hardware for a few dollars cheaper.
