Henckels). The hammered finish and Damascus is gorgeous and the red sandalwood and pakkawood D-shape handle are wonderful. What is more amazing is that as the handle gets wet it retains the grip even better than when dry. My only fault was that the knife arrived out of the box not quite as sharp as I expected or wanted. That said, I sharpened it on my stones to a razor edge and it stays that way with very minimal effort. Thus far I have ordered 3 Seto Knives. 1 (the Nakiri) arrived pre-sharpened to a razor finish, and 2 (the Santoku and the Yanagiba) arrived not as sharp as I desired but were very easily sharpened to befit the quality of the steel they are made with.This is an amazing product and I have and will buy again. The lone critique I have is that the company should ensure that all knives arrive out of the box new at optimal sharpness. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of my favorites *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on March 17, 2015* I really like this knife! It is very sharp (and holds it's edge well), and because of the hammering dents, it truly does have less food stick to it. I have no other knife that releases food the way this one does! Oh, and the handle is very comfortable and actually gets less slippery when wet.I have knives from many makers, both Japanese and German, but this is one of my favorites and I will probably buy more. The only criticism I have is that the blade tang is not well inserted into the handle and you can see both how small the tang is and a one or two millimeter gap between where the knife should have made contact with the handle and where it actually does. I have lots of other knives with better workmanship, but even so, I still like this one a lot! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality, but not as good as higher end knives *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2020* Got this for my son as a gift. He loves the knife. He said he needed to purchase some sharpening stones to finish the edge. It fairly sharpe new, but with nice wet stones, it's possible to sharpen to a razor shape edge.
