It works !! Nose padding thinner than I thought.
This is the second collar I’ve had of this type. Last one i had worked as well. She hated it and chewed it up.

Bless this collar. Can finally walk with my strong goofy doberman
I have a 96 lb male doberman with an insane bro dog personality. He's a big sweetie and a good boy, but he has the attention span of a gnat whenever we go out. I thought training would get easier as he aged, as it did with the female doberman, but he's attention span has only gotten worse...and he's gotten much much stronger. Our leash journey:At my wits end, I tried training with a prong collar and used it 2x before throwing it away. I was hesitant to use it in the first place but I was really out of options. Didn't work and the big lug would literally rather die pulling than register it as an indication to stop, even with all the stop training, chicken jerky, and meatballs. It was also obvious he didn't understand why pulling = bad boy, so it was like training a really dense, but cute idiot. Pointless to call him bad if he's just not associating it with the pulling.I've resisted any muzzles or head collars because of the negative stereotypes people have of dobermans. And there are so many owners that perpetuate the Hollywood stereotypes by dressing their sweet-natured dobermans in "tough" gear to make their dogs look "cool". So I opted for this soft muzzle. It has minimal padding and that's good because the harness is loose around the mouth, I wanted enough padding so his fur wouldn't get rubbed too hard, but not too much so that it looks like a muzzle, or restricts him, esp on a hot day (sun out, tongue out <3) . He has full mouth movement when collar is in the relaxed position. He's a good boy and doesn't try to pry it off. And literally the first time I tried this, IT WORKED. He still likes to pull, but adjusts quickly and I don't have to hold onto dear life anymore. If he pulls he realizes his head will turn him back, so I can finally walk rather than being dragged by his goofy butt.He doesn't care if he has it on while off leash and will recall back to be clipped. This really worked for us. I know every dog is different. But give this a try if you have a hard-puller with short attention span for training. I'm just so glad I don't have to choke him as part of conditioning. He's such a good boy, he's just over-excited on hikes/walks to pay attention to training.TIP: If your dog tries to pull it off or find it irritating, train the dog to wear it for a while at home with lots of reassurance, kisses and treats, so that they get familiar with it (and don't think of it as a muzzle/punishment) before trying it outdoors. If they think of it was an accessory, like a normal neck collar, they'll be less inclined to pull it off.

Didn't last
Purchased July 26, it is now August 11 and I don't feel comfortable using it with my dog. I have a 10 month old lab mix. Thinking it can possibly finish ripping on one of our walks and that would not be a good thing. My dog is in training and I was guided into buying this, it works well but again I'm scared he will rip through it 😩Update: Sept 13 and the company was nice enough to send me a replacement! Got a smaller size so will be updating and hopefully this one can last longer than my last!

My dogs snout is short
We have an Akita, the neck part is decent fit however her about is so short she slips right out the front of this. Even though the design shown it worn on an Akita I feel the lack of adjustment for the sides leaves it too loose from the neck to the snout

Life changing for walking through our Apt. Complex
Seriously, it's like walking a completely different dog. You should watch some training videos from trainers who use this type of harness to make it a smooth transition. Before, I was worried to ask my mother, who is now at an age prone to falls, to take him for a walk because he would drag everyone. He would lunge at people and other dogs. I have taken him for two walks that were a dream. I can see myself taking him on the local walking trails. I can finally start taking him in social settings where I can train him to be the service dog my son needs. Amazing! I'm ready to buy one for all of the dogs I care for.

Fits American Bulldogs small snout
It fits my American Bulldog’s nose. Works good she stopped pulling on walks (still goes at a fast pace but she’ll get used to it) . Writing this review for other small snout dog owners .
