Cat nip for shrinp.
Boiled them a little, then left them to soak to cut down on the initial tannin release and get them to sink. Two have sank no problem the other weighted down with a couple of plant weight strips. The shrimp love em. Usually only see a couple of shrimp in the tank at a time but within five mins 7 out of the 9 shrimp in the tank were all over them, even a few of my corydoras popped over for a look see. Worth the money in my opinion, delivery as stated, happy customer.

Shrimps using them within a few hours
Make sure there well chocked or secured. If not they’ll be floating ornaments. Fish & shrimps have taken to then so well.

Nice addition
Makes a nice addition to my tarantula enclosure in fact my spiderling has made the centre its burrow. Only downside it I thought the wood would be more hollow as the picture shows but does the job well enough

Not for small tanks will stain water and make your tank smell
Bought these as they looked great and were small enough to fit my two small tanks. I soaked them first to get rid of debris, to rehydrate and to get tannins out. They soaked for about 48h and I got a lot of dark tea coloured water so changed 3 times. I then put the wood in my tanks. They stained a small bit but nothing to bad. After 3 days I noticed a slime building on them in both tanks and green algae growth on the glass(this had not been there previand water had been changed 50% the day before I put the wood in). The water was very smelly as well. In fear of loosing my fish I took both out and did another water change. The wood is now in the compost. Pity as it did look great and the fish found them great to hide in, under and to nibble.

Nothing like descriptive picture
Not hollow like in the picture, no good for aquariums as the wood is too light and just floats. Will use instead for tarantula spiderling, but I was hoping it would be hollow as in picture. Not happy and items not as advertised, hence the 1 star, very disappointed.

Came with 3 good-sized pieces. I have a 10 gallon and I put 2 for now. I boiled them for about 15mins and had no issues with them floating when I put them in. My shrimps hang out on and in them all the time. They look good, giving the aquarium a natural vibe.

Very Good. Its a natural product so yes it may release tannins and may have debris. YOU SHOULD be soaking this first in a separate container for at least 24 hours. I found mine was perfect in size and theres room inside for shrimp to hide. My three came in varying thicknesses so between them i was able to place the one i liked most in the tank. I glued an anubias on first and its a perfect host for the plant. Mine is currently soaking and the water is definitely turning brown, so mine has tannins for sure.

Sehr begeistert!!
