Er spendet Schatten und schützt vor neugierigen Blicken. Die Befestigung ist relativ simpel. Man benötigt vier große Schrauben und dazugehörige Dübel. Diese sind allerdings nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten. Nachdem man vier Löcher ins Mauerwerk gebohrt hat und den Fächer festgeschraubt hat, wackelt auch nichts mehr. Den Fächer sichert man im eingeklappten und ausgeklappten Zustand mit einem Metallstift, der mit einem Band an der Halterung befestigt ist. Nur den Bezug aufzuziehen ist ein wenig Fummelarbeit. Man muss diesen aber nicht jedes Mal wieder entfernen, wenn man den mitgelieferten Schutzsack nutzt.
