you don’t need to add weights

Your supposed to put a weight on top of it.

Q: Can i put in the fridge so cheese can be pressed and harden?

Best not to. The wood is flexible and the temperature from hot to cold would take away from the integrity of the wood which needs to stay in firm shape to press and form the cheese. You just put your pressed cheese in fridge after pressing

I've put 60 lbs of books on it and it was fine but I don't think you could put any more weight on it...good product

The bottom board was warped. I had to fabricate a "cork lift" on order to have all 4 legs to reach.

Spend the money on a GOOD cheese press.

Do not recommend. There is no way to gauge pressure applied, and no springs included to help equalize the pressure through the entire board. “Waterproof plywood” puckered and began separating after second use. Cleaned with soap and water and left to dry in its edge in a rack.
