Knight Rider - Complete Series [DVD]

I would just like to say how pleased I am with my Knight Rider DVD Complete Series Boxset. It came early and was in perfect condition. The experience was Excellent and I will buy again from the seller and Amazon.Many thanks. Damian M.

Now I reviewed the 2016, Universal widescreen Knight Rider release after purchase a few years ago, now that boxset ia fantastic but there is one flaw, Season 4 either couldnt be remastered like the first 3 seasons or simply wasnt, never the less, Season 4 was mostly cropped unlike the first 3 in terms of widescreen, here is where fabulous went and improved this, better widescreen with little to no cropping and picture quality fully remastered and an added bonus not present for this season since original broadcast, the original stereo tracks are restored. The earlier season are mostly the same fully remastered picture and sound, I havent watched them fully yet as I bought this boxset for Season 4, I still recommend the universal 2016 version but this has some minor improvements.Also: There is a common misconception that while Fabulous restored The A Team 2hr special (01:30:00) episodes, they didnt restore Knight Rider, I have checked this and this is untrue, Fabulous has used restored versions of them, from what I have seen, Knight of the Juggernaut for example, they appeared to fully restored to original length like the 2016 universal release!

Good quality product arrived in an excellent state. The discs are easy to pull out (which is always a major criteria I’m expecting from a dvd) and it’s an absolute pleasure to (re)discover the entire series in its best quality on blu-ray (even if you can’t expect a miracle, though…that’s an 80’s tv series after all which means that the picture as well as the sound are from that time, but they’ve been enhanced). I recommend its purchase as it’s worth it and the seller is reliable.

So glad I have purchased this on blu ray I watched this series when it was shown on uk TV in the 80s and its still one of my favourite tv shows to be shown along with the a team, airwolf and the fall guy

I know this show was shot in the 1980's and I enjoyed watching it as a teenager. But whatever way they encoded it for 1920 x 1080 (which would make you think its 16:9 but in fact its 4:3 aspect ratio) on Blu ray a lot of the scenes are made much darker. Then there's the DTS-HD Master Audio in 2.0? Why? Why bother remix it to DTS HD? It isn't even 2.1 so its missing bass. I was hoping they converted this to anamorphic 16:9 but we can't win them all. I just set my TV to all direction zoom and fit it to my screen (Yes I know some will cringe but that's the way I watch 4:3 TV shows it looks fine to me). On the main menus they actually have a review of the show which is 16:9 though.That's my whinge over. I'm delighted I have this on Blu Ray. There must be more than one version of the box set though. I saw some say theres no menu system on their disks , short syndicated episodes and the pilot is on the wrong disk. My box set which has the blue band on the top and bottom of the front of the box has a proper menu system with a 16:9 preview in the main menu and the pilot is on Disc 1 which is one hour thirty six minutes long and all episodes are over forty minutes long. Also the box set comes in proper keep safe cases with each disk on its own tray in the case. The biggest problem I have with this boxset is the price. It is a bit pricey. I've bought ten season boxsets for half the price.

I love how they restored the picture, even better than the miami vice box sometimes, specialy the dark scenes i also have from fabulous.Only downside maybe is that its stereo DTS instead of 5.1 but sound quality is perfect. And maybe next time ad english subs (or dutch even better ;) ) but if you speak your english well this is not a problem

The video and audio of this classic series is top notch.I've watched both the DVD and Blu-Ray versions on a 23 inch Full HD screen and frankly the DVD doesn't not look that great compared to the Blu-ray, so I'm puzzled why there are some who can't tell the difference in quality. Its true that the HD quality may not be on par with other more contemporary series but other than that shouldn't really be any complaints.I use a video media program called PowerDVD, which is pretty good at showing up the flaws in video files and there is certainly a difference in the level of detail when viewed close up. I also need to turn on a feature called True Theater HD which helps to make DVD's and similar resolution videos look better on a high definition display but still not as good as a native 1080p video. (These are encoded as 1080p BTW)I had to use this feature with the Knight rider DVD series and other DVD's for that matter but I did not need to use it for the Blu-Ray at all.There are also color differences in the different formats. Audio is also louder on the Blu-Ray.Another thing to mention is that with a few episodes in each of the four seasons Fabulous decided to use the syndicated versions rather than the feature length versions. These versions are divided into a two part episode and have credits showing at the beginning of the second episode with certain scenes removed in contrast to the feature length episodes which show everything. The Knight rider 2000 movie is also not included. Fabulous decided to release that instead as a DVD on its own. 4 stars overall because of this.

Aunque es una de mis series favoritas de los años 80, debo reconocer que la versión Blu-Ray tiene una calidad EXCELENTE tanto de imagen como de sonido, con énfasis en la calidad de sonido. Aunque es un poco caro, reconozco que merece la pena TOTALMENTE‼️Even though this is one of my favorite TV series of the 80’s, I must admit that the video and audio quality of this Blu-Ray version is absolutely amazing, especially the audio. Even though it is a bit expensive, it is very much worth the money.

Voller Freude ausgepackt und enttäuscht. Kein deutscher Ton und kein deutscher Untertitel. Altes Bildformat 4:3 und dunkles Bild. Ich hoffe es gibt bald eine deutsche BluRay, denn diese habe ich reklamiert und zurück gesendet !
