No drainage hole so you have to drill yourself. You could use a small artificial plant so there would be no need to drill a hole.I am very pleased with these pots I waited a while delivery but worth it. I shopped around and these were definitely the best value I could find. Secondly the arms that allow you to hang them over a fence or horizontal slat are weak so be careful if you need to bend them in to hold onto the fence more tightly. I’ve snapped one off bending the arm/hook in and I’m not particularly heavy handed.
