My husband and I made our first batches of strawberry cooked jam with this pectin and it worked great! Every jar set up and tasted fantastic using their strawberry jam recipe. We also made blueberry jam that turned out just as great. We are about to make another year's worth of strawberry jam today and we are using sure jell again. Great product!I used Sure Jell to make cherry jam. It's important to note that your measurements MUST be exactly as indicated on the enclosed instructions, or else the end product may not set properly. If followed to the letter, I have always had success with Sure Jell. Also, be sure the product is within the expiration date.You can make the best jams ever with this, but you HAVE to follow the instructions. Don't double or triple the recipe as your jam will not set up, trust me....just take your time and make the best jams ever!! Take a chance with the ingredients though, you can switch them up, but just stick to the basic jell part and combine different fruits together, and a bit of spice to kick it up!!

Great for a beginner
My mom has made freezer jam for years, so I decided to try it myself. I completely screwed up the directions on the first batch and it still set. It tastes great! I love that my kids got to help mash up the fruit for the jam. They loved helping me and getting to eat something they helped make. My batches ended up larger than suggested in the directions. They listed the yield as 6 cups and I made 8 cups. This is a great price for this product.

8 boxes. Little high priced but worth it in the price of natural jellies and jams out there. Safer to make it your self.

Always works!
As a child in the 50-60’s, I helped My mother and grandmother make jelly but didn’t remember how to do it. The instructions in the sure gel package are spot on and provided great success with wild grape jelly!
