Hooked it up but decided to use a sound bar instead

Everything worked perfectly with one exception: For power there is only a USB connection, no power plug. I had to search for a cube to connect this.

Got this to connect my 2018 Samsung tv to a Yamaha analog receiver. Didn’t seem to work at first; I just got a static clicking sound; the instructions in the box were next to useless. But in some of the info on the product page here I saw mention of setting the tv sound output format to PCM. I did this in the settings/sound/expert settings menu on my tv - had to do that in two different places - and now it works well. Unfortunately I can’t control volume fm the tv remote, I need to use the stereo remote for that. But otherwise, no complaints at all - it’s a very good value for the price.

Didn't realize my TV only had one audio connection when I went to set them up. I wish my TV had an analog setup but for my use, you won't really notice the sound quality difference anyway.Only thing I'm picky about is the red light on the device is super bright so I had to cover it so it does not distract when watching TV in the dark but that is not really an issue.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a perfect converter… My Samsung Tv is a smart tv and it seems as if all the newer tv don’t have the aux jack on them… and if you don’t have a cable box you can’t hook up the aux… Im so happy that I found this device because I have an old school radio equipment and I didn’t want to buy a sound bar… and boy I’m glad I didn’t have to… this converter is so easy to assemble.. I hooked it right up and now I have sound coming through my speakers again….you don’t have to switch your system…

TV manufacturers are not putting analog audio output plugs on TVs now. I have a headphone I use when quiet time comes to our house, and without this digital to analog converter I wouldn't be able to use headphones. The only problem I ran into connecting everything was getting the Toslink fiber optic cable in correctly. It will go in 2 different ways, and I've never heard of a connector that allowed you to do that. Once I figured out I had it in 180 degrees out of correct, and inserted it correctly it all worked perfectly. I am now a happy user!
