Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society - Boozed Broozed & Broken-Boned

Zakk Wylde is God on guitar and proves that he can do live just what he does on the Black Label Society albums. I don't believe that there are any guitarists out there (or dare I say, ever) that can match the talent of Zakk Wylde. Sure, there are guitar greats of the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, and most importantly, Randy Rhoads, but no axe slinger can shred quite like Zakk Wylde. The music him, his guitar brother Nick Catanese, and the Black Label Society put together is nothing short of what rock and roll should be. No flashy set, no flashy clothes, just music ... pure, adrenaline driven rock and roll. If you have been longing for real rock, and loosing faith in the current state of rock and roll, then look no further. Black Label Society delivers like NO other.The DVD is amazing. The energy of Zakk Wylde and the Black Label Society is unbelievable. The songs are played spot-on and leave you wanting more. On one track, Zakk takes the stage alone and gives out one of the greatest solos I have ever heard. He is relentless in his performance; all you can do is watch with your jaw on the floor. Also, for those patriotic rockers out there, Zakk performs the GREATEST Star Spangled Banner ever. If you thought Jimmy Hendrix's version at Woodstock was amazing, and it was, don't get me wrong, but Zakk weaves in the Black Label style making it unmatched.Amazingly, I haven't finished all the extras, but what I have seen are much enjoyed. For the softies out there, there is home video footage of him playing his guitar and singing with his little daughter ... one of the cutest things ever. There is also footage of Zakk and Nick Catanese rocking out on acoustic 6- and 12-string guitars ... it's great. For true rockers, this is THE DVD to have. You can't afford to be without this disk. You will want to watch it over and over again. Zakk Wylde and the Black Label Society have QUICKLY become my favorite band, and after you witness BLS through this DVD, you will see why.

Being a fan of BLS is something i hold dear,i have all their works & then some and i have gotta say this is a great dvd for fans of Zakk Wylde & BLS because this dvd is awesome.A killer live perfotmance with their best hard hitting stuff for fans aplenty. Great live set with some of my personal favorites being Demise of Sanity,Graveyatd Disciples,Bleed for Me,13 Years of Grief,Stronger than Death,Genocide Junkies,Spoke in the Wheel,Born to Lose & a signature solo guitar interlude followed by World of Trouble,All for You,Superterrorizer & Berserkers. Great live show with excellent audio & camera work. Straight up metal dvd for drinking beer & doing whatever it is that you do when you crank this concert. Great extras with some bonus tracks with Mike Inez on bass as to Rob Trujilio who is on the Detroit set. The 2 tracks have alot faster paced camera which is,let's just say the Detroit set was filmed better. Lots of extras,interviews,a guitar lesson or 2 from Zakk,some extra goofing around,Zakk doing the National Anthem.for a hockey game. Zakk & his daughter singing that was cute. All in all a must have for BLS fans,metal fans & newcomers alike. Great guitar work & the bass sounds great the drums are on point,amazing dvd. Doom Troopin adds drunken or like drug induced hallucination effects during the show for your visual pleasure but this is straight up in a club of like 3,000 people,sold the bar out completley. Go grab it and kick back and crank some Zakk.

i admit to not being a fan of the music of black label society. I am, however, highly impressed with zakk wylde's guitar playing - i think he's an incredible musician! i purchased this video mainly for the special features - of which there are many: (1) the video for stillborn (it's absolutely fantastic, and if all black label songs were of this quality - i would own every one of their disks); (2) additional concert footage; (3) interviews; and (3) the guitar lessons (this is my favorite special feature on the disk). The songs tend to grow on you a bit the more you play the disk, but it's the guitar playing that ultimately sold me on this purchase. if you're a guitar player - blues, metal, rock - it's a great experience to watch wylde play the guitar.

As a huge Black Label Society fan, I was wondering for months how this DVD was going to turn out, but I must say that it is awesome. The concert footage is raw and uncut and the bonus material is great. Some of the bonus features include Zakk playing the national anthem at a hockey game, and the "Stillborn" video. All of the concert footage is clear and well lit, and it is not a low budget DVD. This is just another A+ for Zakk.

Im a hard Ozzy fan , ive followed all Ozzy's Guitarist's ,Well Jake e Lee disapeared , Randy moved on ,and the rest are still trying !! , except for the Master ... Zakk F#$*in Wylde , as the Prince of Darkness affectionately calls him is the new God of rock .This is a very very good DVD , it is as heavy as you want as agressive as you want but still a very good DVD , the interviews are fantastic , the lessons are good and the footage from the different chapters is excellent , i love the guy and i love what hes doing for rock n roll , and his guitar playing will live forever , if i had the opportunity , id love to have an Australian Beer with him . A Boags Draught beer actually .May the future Prince of Darkness go on to greater greatness ,well worth the money ive bought 2 , just in case someone steals one ..

You have to be in the mood to watch this sort of thing. But by the same token, when you're in that mood, it's good to have this sort of thing to watch. I was disappointed that Zakk didn't do "Another Spoke In The Wheel" on acoustic guitar - he did it with a clean electric. In fact, there was no acoustic guitar incorporated into this live show at all. If you like crunch, crunch, and more crunch, you will dig this DVD. If you are looking for taste, variety, nuance, tone sculpting, musicality....this ain't it. This is raw and in-your-face. But like I said, sometimes it's good to have that sort of thing on hand for when you need it. Bonus material on the disc was a nice surprise - interview, guitar lesson, etc.

E' il primo concerto che vedo in dvd di questa band e l'ho preso per conoscerli un pò meglio.Il suono non è male e le immagini sono pulite. Pur trattandosi di un dvd usato si vede benissimo.Consigliato.

Not the best camera work, some really silly antics on th extra's, some older (younger Zakk) guitar lessons to boot.....It's Zakk Wylde, so it's awsome. If your a BLS fan buy it! If you're not, your in the wrong section. Just do a search for ABBA & you'll be fine....

Also wenn ich mir diese DVD gleich zweimal reinziehe hat es definitiv was zu bedeuten.Oberhammer ,beste DVD seit langem mal wieder.Zakk ist super gut drauf und rockt es so mörderisch böse gut. Sollte BLS nochmal live in Berlin auftreten,ich bin dabei :-P

This is truly one too buy!! I havn't stopped playing the thing since i got it!! Zakk Wylde even gives a private guitar lesson to some of his great solo's, old & new stuff!!!If anyone loves this band as i do, it's a must for their collection!! Zakk and the reat of the band play at blinding speeds to which we give him credit!!I'm really speachless about the D.V.D!! Just get it as i did, It's real, touching, fun and truly inspiring to all that receive this piece of footage!!Zakk even has a taped song with his little daughter that would bring a tear too the hardess hells-angle or Guitarist!!!!!Support this band as I do, its well worth the money!! enjoy!!
