Alice in Wonderland: A Norton Critical Edition (Norton Critical Editions)

It was great fun to read the Alice adventures again, as an adult and with critical and biographical assist of this Norton Edition. Carroll's play with language and logic and societal issues is very pre-Monty Python. Ironically, the satirical fantasy was like a "looking glass" version of living through the 2020 Covid-19 world-wide shutdown and quarantine. Carroll poses questions about honest, authentic language and abuses of power by martinets in power, questions that should be applied to today's petty tyrants seeking their own little bit of power over their fellow man. Fortunately, you don't have to wear a mask while enjoying the quirky and whimsical Lewis Carroll.

Great Book one of my favorite books as nd Great buy and great m we memories

I needed this book for my Children's Lit class. As a college student I found it very helpful for my essays. The book had a lot of descriptions, and provided the text nessesery.

This book is one of those books that is hard to let go. It has original drawings and poetry. Plus Disney started his first cartoon based 'Alice in Wonderland' and after many cartoon productions finally got to do it.

This is an annotated edition for adults, and English Lit. students. It has no color illustrations, but is a good bang for the buck.
