I use this product in my artwork from time to time. It works just as it claims and since I don’t use it often, I am especially happy that its shelf life is so long. When properly sealed it can last years.

The patina did not work. My teacher and I put over five coats over the gold color trying different techniques, blow drying it, reapplying the first paint, and it did not change to the blue color. It turned out pretty ugly. Today I happened to find an old bottle from a project I did years ago and tried it on a small portion of my pottery. It changed immediately. So this bottle definitely had something wrong in the manufacturing.

This product is GREAT.... Just wish I could but larger quantities of both the cooper and green patina.

Other reviews talk about shelf life, if properly sealed.I purchased this in October 2022.The project I was planning got suspended - life got in the way. I put the unopened box away in a climate controlled area.Today (10/1/23) I broke it out to do a different project. The bottle of copper was almost totally solidified. It had never been opened - the box or the bottle.So, there was $22.55 down the drain.

The base coat went on just fine. The patina didn't really change the color substantially as the picture indicated. Also, I agree with other reviewers who said the directions were sparse. Hopefully, being outside will do the rest of the work.

Excellent for turning any fixture into an expensive-looking vintage collectible! I used it on cheap Home Depot outdoor light fixtures, they look like I special-ordered them from France ;)
