Neither the carabiner or strap failed on that one, so I expect good life out of this one. It's classy looking; well-finished.• Good strap, thick and durable, well-stitched leather (yes, it's real leather, just stiff and color coated). It can be easily bent to adjust the time (just squeeze it -- see photo), so I don't find that an issue as negative reviewers did. Though the adjustment knob is somewhat stiff out of the box.• Decent little carabiner.• Watch is steel and keeps time well, if a bit heavy for my use (hiking), but that's not an issue in town. The crystal is glass.• Watch is replaceable -- a big plus -- as the strap on my last one lasted through 2 replacement watches (I broke them all, being very hard on the gear). Personally, I think the strap is the real value here.• Water-resistant -- specs say to 3 atmospheres (that would be 90'). I love that it is mounted on black leather. All of my pants are black so it blended right in. I have found that I grab this watch when I am running out to the grocery store or to run other errands.
