This L'Oreal Paris Magic Root Rescue is super-handy to have during this crazy Corona Virus time. I wanted something I could use at home while the salons were closed. Decided to give this a try, as I am a fan of other L'Oreal products. I like that there is a tamper-proof seal on both openings of the box, top and bottom. This little bottle actually does my whole head of roots, which I was surprised about, since my hair is thick. I do keep it on 15 - 20 minutes for better gray coverage and it works well. I used it with the brush attachment to get it on the roots well. Now I don't want to go back to the salon and pay much more. This does not last quite as long as the salon dye, so I may alternate once I start feeling like I want to go out again for hair care. I am so glad I came across this product. I will keep using it at least every other time and save some money!

If you are of a "mature age" and your roots are really white, shades of red can be a real gamble! It's why I go to a reliable salon so it doesn't come out carrot red or pink! So I held off for a while using this till the virus lockdown made me desperate to get rid of "skunk roots." The color was so easy to apply and a beautiful natural auburn. No carrot color, no brassiness, and it blended in so nicely with the rest of hair. I only wish I'd actually done before and after photos but I'm sort of "old school" and hate selfies! lol Great product and will order again. This will really stretch my appointments at the salon out further and save me a lot of money. Thank you!

With the salons closed due to Covid-19, my wife asked if I could do her roots. I figured after 52 years of marriage this would be the ultimate test, that make or break moment! With the help of YouTube, good instructions and some common sense I did the task. All in all the process was easy and hassle free. The results were perfect and the coverage perfect. I have done it twice now and am ready to open a salon! Negative: Gloves provided are very small and will not fit an average man.

I’ve been using this color for several years. Always easy and looks great! I like how I’m not over processing the rest of my hair. Medium blonde has been hard to find in stores lately, so I’m glad I can buy here and at a good price.

I don't really want to say anything negative about this product, because the first two times I used it, the color matched perfectly. The solution (med golden brown) was the color of a creamsicle (lt orange) & I was hesitant on using it, but I had no choice. Much to my surprise, it matched my hair color to a tee. I have medium brown hair with vague red tones. No more grey roots & lasted more than 4 weeks!!! Wow, I thought I had found the perfect product. However, my 3rd purchase, same shade, was different. 😠The solution was a blah brown with no hint of red at all. Very disappointing! Didn't match my color, nor did it cover my grey roots. So, I thought that maybe it was just a bad batch, so I reordered. Unfortunately, same thing. Now I suspect that they changed the formula, & in my opinion, not for the better. I don't want to go any darker & will not be ordering again. So sad. Guess I'll go back to the spray root cover ups after I dye my hair with Schwarzkopt!

I love that this came with the gloves and everything I needed. I watched a few you tubes videos as I was quite nervous to do this on my own. The videos instruct you to pat the color in with you finger tip, which is exactly what my stylist does. I was far from precise! I purchased #6. My hair is fairly dark, but I have random highlights. I'm so happy. Seriously. My stylist won't be, because I'm going to space my color appointments farther apart. I think I should have left it in maybe a little longer, but I am NOT complaining. The little gray that does show through looks more like highlights, so it's great. Next time I will take before and afters. Few things in life make me so happy!!! This was easy and effective. I urge you to watch a couple of you tube videos...as well as L'oreal...the you tubers show you how to customize it and to not stress too much! Enjoy and save some hard earned money!

I have been using 'Clairol Nice 'n Easy Root Touch-Up 4 Matches Dark Brown Shades' and want to give this a try. I think both products work very well. My hair is dark brown and this matches well with it. I am not crazy about the applicator, as I have to keep squeezing it to make sure the color came out. Probably just have to get used to it. On the plus side, it really leaves no mess and it makes it easy to color the hair around your face without leaving color on your face. My grays are pretty stubborn, so I left the color on for 15 mins and it did the job well. No weird smell. Make sure to read the instructions. It says not to leave the cap on the applicator for too long after you mix in the color or it may explode. Didn't happen to me but I took the cap off immediately after mixing the color. (In case you do not know this trick...rub some lotion around your face so that if color does touch your face, it comes right off.)

I do home coloring all the time, but the development time for my full-coverage product is pretty lengthy. This touch-up kit gives me the perfect amount to cover my roots and the development time is just 10 minutes. I use the medium blonde color and its an excellent match for my regular medium blonde color from a different brand. The dye looks alarmingly reddish at about the 9 minute mark, but when I rinse I get the promised blonde. From now on I'm doing full coloring every OTHER month and using this product in between.
