Review: More Descriptions, less word problems - What I like about this book is that it presents many physics concepts in real-world concepts. It would actually be an interesting "reading exercise" with a summary about the math concepts as the culmination of a classroom exercise. It could be used to motivate children to enter engineering. Caution: It is not a book full of worksheets or exercises for students, although there are some examples to illustrate the physics ideas and where they originated. The origins of formulas do leave out some important inventor names, but it is a quick read. This is a concept book written for children in grades 6-12+, of how things "work." Not a book of problem sets. The concepts include: motion, laws of motion, gravity, simple machines (like levers and pulleys), energy, heat, states of matter, wave motion, light, electricity, magnetism, electromagnetism, nuclear energy and future physics. What I did find, is that there was no discussion about how elector-magnets control bullet trains and the Tower of Terror at Walt Disney World. There are a lot of "old-fashioned" inventors like Newton, Watt, Boyle, Franklin, Einstein, etc... The author does intermix some modern day examples and photos, so the reader does not get bored with "old history inventions that we don't use today." Overall, I really love this book. It could help young inventors to persevere in their work, and be inspired.
Review: Very enjoyable Book about the World of Physics - This book makes the world of physics very pleasant due to the way of the themes are shown. The correlaction between the nature with the history of the concept discovering by the reknown scientists make the physics a simpler game of watching the surrounding nature. Practical examples are great and substantial. The author was wise of type writing such as the way he did, mixing history, complex / simple concepts and gathering all of these in a structured way. It is not a sophisticated physics book with several formulas e integrals but rather a good and interesting wide introductory view of physics

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great resource of science

Bought this for my 8th grader to have a general knowledge of physics to supplement his school year. He has used it as a reference for his science fair project too. Almost every time he reads he will tell me something fascinating that he learned about physics!
