Mexican Tomatillo Salsa 300g (Pack of 1)

I use it as a green sauce when cooking boneless chicken thighs. Sear the chicken. Add a pint of chicken stock. Garlic. A tablespoon of Cumin. A tablespoon of oregano. A bay leaf or two. One chopped onion. Simmer until stock reduces. Add Lunchita Tomatillio salsa. Turn heat down to low. Simmer for 1 hr . Then make some tacos or burritos or a casserole. You'll figure it out. Corn tortillas are best. But flour works too. And don't forget the refried beans. And Mexican rice. Opening the container is easy. Just punch a small hole in the lid. It comes right off. Wash and discard in the recycle bin.

Taste-wise for me it is excellent. It is reasonably mild but with nice chunks of tomatillo. I rarely eat it as is: I mix it with cut up avocado, fresh cilantro and lemon juice and find it perfect that way. Quickly devoured by everyone at home. The part about it being hard to open is true. I have personally never managed and the rest of tge family struggle. I fear a trip to the emergency resulting from attempts to open it.

Best tomatillo salsa on the market that has a natural flavour not taste of tin, acid or vinegar.

Tomatillo salsa is so very difficult to find so thank you. i use it for fish tacos - yum.

Decent

I got 3 for the price of one. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of them. Absolutely tasteless, no flavour to it what so ever. I am not talking about spice, I know this is mild, but there is also no taste to it at all.

I eat it most weeks. This stuff elevates your Mexican to the next level. I don’t eat Mexican without it. The only issue when first buying it, was it was really difficult to get the lid open. My hands are weak and my husband was really struggling. He can manage it much easily now but I think having the lids easier to open would be ideal.

Not as hot/spicy as I hoped, but perfect once you add half a finely chopped jalapeno.
