Your hands may start to hurt if you use these a lot in a short period of time but I am sure that can be fixed with chalk. They are very strong and I would not be afraid to do any exercise on it. However I am only a beginner at calisthenics and I have had these for only a little over 2 days so I will plan to update in about 4-8 months from now and let you know of any changes.
