Gardena 1979 Aquazoom 3900-Square Foot Oscillating Sprinkler with Fully Adjustable Width Control, Flow Control and Water Timer

This is very nice and worth the money. I really like the timer feature being built into the sprinkler and not having to have some other add on. And the adjustability of the watering area is exactly what I needed. I have many different size areas that were very hard to water without watering the house, stone walk way or fence at the same time. This is pretty cool that you can adjust the height and reach of the spray and the width separately on each size. Just a great sprinkler. If you're wondering if it's worth it, it is.

I really took some time to mull over the idea of buying a plastic oscillating lawn sprinkler, for what seems like a large amount of money. Even after I reading the many good reviews, I was reluctant. The timer was the real selling point, but being able to adjust the flow to make it fit the area, is just as valuable to me.My first one I received was defective. On the second day of use, the timer would not work. But as always, Amazon does a brilliant job and fast job of replacing it (or giving your money back if you want that instead).Since these Gardena sprinklers are made in "Germany" (rather than another country that often is known for defective products or poor quality), I decided to have another try at it.Glad I did! I do not have a square, triangular or circular yard, which is the coverage most portable lawn sprinklers give you. That means often over watering some areas (wasting water) and not enough coverage in other areas (dry spots). Plus, I tend to turn on the sprinkler and then forget about it after getting caught up in other projects. Hours later - . . . Uh-oh. With drought's everywhere now it seems, and a long term drought where I am living, I cannot continue to allow over-watering to happen.So this model Gardena solves all these problems for me. I can adjust it perfectly (almost) to every area, and the timer shuts the sprinkler off at the number of minutes I have set it for. I love it! Now if it would only move itself to the next area in the yard . . .? Maybe Roomba could get together with Gardena and figure something out?And when I think about all the sprinklers I've purchased over the years that end up in a pile in the shed, the price of this one seems not so bad after all.

Lasted through first summer. Don' t have any great expectations that it will last through more than one or two additional seasons as this is the third Gardena I've purchased. Does a good job watering until the oscillating mechanism fails.

First, let me acknowledged that these sprinklers are expensive pieces of equipment. That said, if I could give these 10 stars I would. They are the best engineered sprinklers I've ever owned. When I received my first one, I turned around and ordered another a few weeks later. Yes, they are that good. And the company behind them is even better: When my second sprinkler arrived without the quick disconnect part, I contacted the company via their Web site, and, long story short, they not only sent me the missing part, they sent TWO. I'm very impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism--very rare these days, indeed. Back to the units themselves... these sprinklers allow you to spray accurately with in a variety of directional mechanisms that are intuitive to operate--saving water and frustration. This is truly a "you get what you pay for" moment. In my opinion, it is a no brainer in the case of these sprinklers.

This was a wonderful sprinkler for about 2 1/2 seasons. Then it started hanging and would not oscillate. I am so disappointed because I really like the way it worked for 2 1/2 seasons. I just tried to e-mail Gardena. Will see if I get a response. Otherwise I will go back to buying the crappy Chinese made sprinkler at Lowe's and make sure I keep the warranty and turn it in every year for a new one.

Very convenient to use. Has a quick connect attachment and a timer so you dont waste any water. I have my first one 6 years and still going strong. Has many settings so your water pattern matches the size of ground that needs watering. Well worth the extra money as it outlasts the other name brands

Love the sprinkler. and have purchased before; however, the adapter shown in the picture and advertised on the product packaging did not come with the sprinkler. I paid too much for the sprinkler not to have the adapter included, as advertised. I'm bummed!

I love how easy it is to adjust this thing - both width of the spray and the distance of the swing. I love the timer on it - I can water and set the timer and if I forget about it, it's not running up my water bill. And having the timer (or un-timed) on the sprinkler means I don't have to keep running back and forth to the faucet to make adjustments. To me, it was worth the price - now, hopefully, it will just hold up.
