Finally feel safe
Because of a handicap, I always fear falling down when am alone. I've looked at several of these gadgets and am I glad I chose this one! The price is modest and there are no monthly fees. It works very well. You can test both the network and the battery on a daily basis. As soon as I charged it (and it takes about 4 hours to be fully charged), I pressed the button and immediately got 911. I explained there was no emergency, that I was merely testing the unit. 911 was very understanding and told me the unit tested just fine. I like that I can be anywhere, inside or out, and can use it in an emergency. I do not tend to have my phone with me all the time, so this solves the emergency situation for me. EDIT: Two weeks later: I've already had to use this in an emergency. It worked flawlesslety. I have now bought another one

Convenience and cost as well as ...it works!
Other devices limit you to a short distance from your house. I wear it around my neck and it is not seen. I will be traveling and thought this idea worked best. I leaned over my porch railing accidentally and immediately I was connected to 911. I told them it was a mistake...but found out that it worked!

So simple to set up and use
I like the device, the ease and simplicity of it. I like that I can go anyplace there is cell service and be able to call 911. However, when I clip the device to my clothing, it keeps falling off. I had written an email to you about this, but haven't received any answers. I don't want to wear the lanyard around my neck. Is there any way to make the clip tighter so it doesn't keep falling off?

no contract
Insofar as I lost/mis-layed the Fast Help I purchased some time ago, and was foolish enough NOT to have purchased the protection plan, I purchased another. While I have no health problems or physical disabilities at the moment, I am aware of my age and the possibility of accidents & sudden onset illnesses. Consequently having a 'Safety" net is comforting. I have not needed to use my Fast Help to date, but feel more confident on the rare occasions I must be alone in my home or out & about. It is lightweight but I would prefer a more secure waistband fastener since it is a bit cumbersome to use the lanyard/necklace. And------- it comforts my loved ones to know I have quick access to 911 should I ever need to make the call.

Absolutely HORRIBLE Customer Service/ Charging light malfunction !!!!
I just received the device a day ago, charged it as directed overnight ( they suggest 6 hours ). No blue light indicating that the battery was fully charged. The red light was still on indicating it was still charging. AFTER 24 hours. Ok, no problem. I hit the grey "test" button, the voice indicates " Battery good " Good after 24 hours? The voice then indicates" Cellular Connection Good". So far, so good, right? I place the device back into the flimsy cradle and the light is STILL red. Not blue when it is fully charged. I call the number on the tiny brochure in the packing material. Why? Because the blue light is NOT on and I DO NOT TRUST the device because of that. I call the 1-800#.I wait an annoying 15 minutes and speak with an impatient "customer service" operator who has NO cannot find my account for the almost 200.00 I spent on this device. She became frustrated with my questions about the light indicator, raised her voice and disagreed with everything I said about the red versus blue light stating " if the device recording works, the device is fine". I asked to speak with someone else. Her reply" I am the ONLY one here, so deal with ME" The device charging indicator is not working, the device , as a result, is not trustworthy. Advice? DO NOT BUY ! Unless I hear from a SUPERVISOR from FirstHelp, I am leaving this review !

Inexpensive
The only thing it does is call 911 for you. Takes a lot of pressure to do that job; might be difficult to use in many situations. It is cheaper than any other on the market.

SUPERB - but make sure to always keep it charged
How to test it without making a "frivolous" call to 911? I got lucky, and saw a broken fire hydrant :DI jumped at the opportunity of calling 911 using this device. It worked perfectly :)Among other uses, I slip it into my pocket when I climb up on a chair - in case I were to fall.It takes forever to charge. I usually let it charge all day (and typically it takes most of the day), and keep it on a nightstand (NOT charging) at night.Unless you get a good system going with the charging, the odds are that you find yourself with a useless discharged device at the time you need it in an emergency!!! That's the Achilles' heel of the device (no battery backup)

this is the one .
Just got it. Can't speak to its integrity but instructions are very clear and its weight is significant. That is - appears bullet proof and dependable. Lanyard great for taking into tub shower where I had a slip and fall, thinking I would die there or drown. Being found 3 days later. A bargain at this price. I studied all of Amazon's offerings and this is the one!
