You loosen the nut to set the phone position, then you tighten it to lock into place. The arms are spring loaded release. Squeeze together to close. Basic and easy to use. Holds my large cell phone easily and is close to me now when i drive. Great when you have the GPS on so you can easily see it!

Can hold phone horizontally on smooth roads, but heavier phones will fall out on bumpy roads.

This one works a lot better than the last one I bought, which wouldn’t crypt the phone and I didn’t like how it was really blocking the air vent. This one is much better. I love it. It holds the phone better better grip just all around better.

Simple to put together, install, and use. There is one point in the instructions that could have been clearer (they don't really show that you need to *push* the ball into the main body until it clicks) (if you don't, the ball won't fit and will seem to slide out of the assembly), but it only took me a minute to figure that out. Sturdy, fits well (please note that that are two different tightness settings on the clamp that attaches to your vent, so one will probably work better than the other, depending on the thickness of your louvers), rotates readily to horizontal or vertical. Clamps on the side hold the phone in place with a gentle push; an easily accessible button on the back pops it open to release the phone. Can't beat it, especially for the price. Edited to add: I changed my rating from five stars to three. Most of the things above are true, but: It was great the first several months but then, after only using it for 6(?) months, once or twice a week, it suddenly started coming loose and falling off the louvers. It doesn't unclamp, it simply comes loose from the louver and hangs down or falls off. Not very convenient when you're driving. I can open the clamp, put it back on the louver, and tighten it again, and it's good for a week or so, then it happens again. Considering I only use it a few times a week, for me that makes it very unreliable. Will replace it with something else ASAP.

I bought it over a year ago and it works just great. Use it one my subaru outback, left side of driver.

If I could give zero stars that would be more descriptive of this poorly made mount! The stem for the swivel on the back is made too thin and of a VERY soft and cheap grade plastic. Mounted it on the vent as designed and it sat there until a week after the return date and it just fell on the floor. The stem snapped right off at the swivel. Complete junk reflects poorly on Amazon Basics.

社用車のマツダ ボンゴバンのエアコン吹き出し上部の通気口？のような箇所に差し込んで使用しています。 結論から言うと、上下にエアコンの吹き出し口を調節するので、スマホの重さで下を向いてしまい使い物にならない場合もあります。 たまたまボンゴバンの通気口？のようなところが可動部で無いことから、運転していても外れたりしていません。 スマホの取り付け、取り外しはとても簡単なので、とても重宝しています。 ちなみにホンダ N-ONE(JG2)に付けても、下を向いてしまい、使い物になりませんでした。 社用車に使えていて、全く問題ないので☆5で！

I’ve been searching for a good quality car cellphone holder at a decent price for months and here it was all along in Amazon basics??? Works perfectly AND at an unbeatable price?!? It holds the phone tight, clamps onto my vent fin and won’t let go until it is released. You can even turn it horizontally for added convenience. I am literally making a mental list of whom I can gift this great product to for Christmas presents. Just get the holder, you won’t be disappointed.
