You will not regret getting these. I personally buy products based on customer reviews and after unfortunately needing rat traps and purchasing the Kat Sense Covered traps I know I would never use anything else again. I feed birds on my deck and the occasional squirrel but at night I started getting rats so I made sure to remove all the bird feeders and placed the rat traps out at night. The first two nights nothing but every time after that the traps caught a winner or loser. The traps are extremely easy to set and empty, just holding down the lever and dispose. There is no mess inside at all as the teeth inside are not sharp. I experimented with different bait inside since apparently different rodents have preferences. There are no pesticides, they are reusable, quiet and no risk of pinching your fingers. You will never need another trap. Now if I could only get the neighbors to not leave garbage outside.

Thank you for this AMAZING trap. This is the absolute best trap I have ever used at an affordable price. Well worth the money & investment. This is the easiest, minimal contact trap I have ever used. Simple. Turn the traps over, unscrew the bait cup, add the peanut butter to the cup, screw the bait cup back on the bottom of the trap, turn the trap back over & press down to set the trap. DONE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! To empty, just press down & discard mice. Which, I do have to wear rubber gloves when touching the traps. The first time I used these traps, I set them under my house the night before, the only area that I have mice, I checked them the next morning & I actually had 2 mice.....yes 2 mice in 1 trap!!! A mouse in each side, in each tunnel, facing each other with their tails out the end. Looks like 1 mouse went in one tunnel & another mouse went in the other tunnel at the same time. The trap caught them both. Now, not even 24 hours later, the traps have caught 3 mice. The second trap was still set, but the bait cup was empty, so I am hoping that it was just a fluke and that the second trap works as well as the first one. I am absolutely terrified of mice & have been since I was a little girl, but now I am on daily chemo & do not want them in or around my home at all. Mice carry too many germs & diseases & I can't take a chance of being exposed to their germs & diseases!!! Even before the cancer, I refused to allow a mouse IN my home, if they got in, I stopped them immediately. Now, I don't even want them around or under my house either. This is an excellent product & is so easy to use & I HIGHLY recommend these traps. Very wise investment & you are keeping yourself & your family safe from being exposed to the germs & diseases that mice carry.

I've tried so many things to kill rats around and in my house. I used a large glue trap once and I'm still traumatized over having to finish the job of killing it! This rat trap is awesome. I put it out and in 2 days it already killed a rat and all I had to see was a large tail sticking out of it. It was easy to dispose of the rat I didn't even have to see it! Just turn it sideways and push down on the lever and it slide right out. I set it up again and waiting for the next kill! I also have small grandkids and dogs and no one touched it! It was safe to use. Highly recommend it.

I bought these traps to take care of a really bad chipmunk problem. Many people think chipmunks are these cute little loveable creatures. However when you live in the suburbs and there are few natural predators, these things multiply and destroy everything. They dug out around and under my sidewalks and my porch. They were starting to undermine it to the point where the concrete was unsupported in places and starting to crack. I finally got fed up when I could hear them running through the gutters. Yep that's right, they climbed up the downspouts and onto the roof and were running through the gutters. I tried a couple of things to cull their numbers. I started with the have a heart type trap. Those traps worked well but have an obvious drawback. What do you do with a live chipmunk after you catch it? Many places have restrictions against relocating chipmunks. And let me tell you how hard it is to get a chipmunk out of your car when you try to release one and the release goes bad. I own dogs and I was afraid they would get hurt with a traditional rat trap. I decided to try these traps because the snapping part is covered. I felt they would be safe enough to use around my dogs. Even though my dogs were curious about them and sniffed them thoroughly, there have been no accidental injuries. Against the chipmunks, they are absolutely deadly! I used a little peanut butter for bait and it made the traps irresistible. They worked so well that I was taking out four to five chipmunks a day while only passively monitoring, emptying, and resetting. Cleanup is super easy. I took a plastic shopping bag, held the trap over it, opened the jaws, shook a few times, the dead chipmunk fell in, tied the bag shut, and tossed it in the garbage can. I am happy to say that my chipmunk problem is under control. I have culled so many that I just stopped counting. These traps worked for me and they will work for you too.

Recently I noticed my neighbors ripping up their lower wood deck, shortly after that these unwanted guests arrived. This 2nd story deck is off of my kitchen, used often as a general sitting, grilling area and is constantly visited by my children and dogs. I was HORRIFIED when rats suddenly started coming on my deck as we are clean people, no food, or garbage out there. We live in a nice area, have a nice home, I thought this only happened in dirty homes, farms and in the big city's. Apparently I was wrong. This was a 1st for me. I freaked out, read everything online, started cleaning my deck with bleach and pine scented cleaners, removed bird feeders, just hoping and praying they would just go away. Sadly they did not leave, I would hear them moving around out there and see poop around the deck. I was scared to use poison due to my small dogs, even with safe traps, I was scared the rat would die and my dogs would get it. Yet the thought of removing a dead bloody rat from a trap grossed me out and there was no way I was going to catch them and release them. I needed something easy, like a hotel they checked in and never left. (Sadly there is no such thing) Per my father, get the cheap traps, they work, so I tried the old fashioned traps. I am not sure why, but I had so much anxiety setting them, fearing it would snap my fingers. Night after night, empty, the nasty things were too smart for those. Desperate for a solution, and trying to avoid having to call an exterminator due to my tight after Christmas budget, I found these on amazon, read the reviews, mostly good but someone said they the kill was messy, which turned me off of them. After a few more tries with the old fashion traps and even trying the baking soda natural kill method, I was desperate and ordered them. Let me just say these are SO SO SO easy to use. I put peanut butter in the feeder, pulled the lever and put them out at night. The next morning I was shocked when I saw tails coming out of the traps. I will admit I freaked out, hesitated, having to face my kill, expecting it to see blood and guts everywhere. THANKFULLY, it was easy, no mess, no blood, no having to see him. With one hand holding a garbage bag, the other hand released the trap, and he was easily in the trash. I put the traps out again the next night, and again, in the morning I saw tails again. It was quiet for a few days or again I was in denial till one walked casually across my deck looking at me. Feeling more comfortable with the traps and determined to take them down, I decided to get creative, I lightly spread some peanut butter at the entrance of the traps and sprinkled cinnamon over it, to get the smell out there. The next morning I saw another tail. I have 5 down so far and can not thank these traps enough for making this horrible situation easier for me. Surely this has to be all of them, however I am going to continue to put them out for the next month, even ordering 2 more to put on the lower level yard in hopes of getting them before they get to my house. My method with kids and pets is, put these out at night, remove in the morning, clean & disinfect deck daily and repeat. Despite what the internet says, the smell of bleach and pine do not seem to keep them away, but good for disinfecting. I use creamy peanut butter and sprinkle cinnamon on top of it. They apparently love the smell of cinnamon and based on my results it appears to be true. Other Pro's - The price is good, fast shipping

These traps are great! I had a squirrel problem around my house. I caught over 30 squirrels with 2 of these. Yes, over 30!!!!! Dumping the dead squirrel's was simple and the trap resets perfectly with a squeeze of the handle. I put some walnuts in the trap for bait, and they love walnuts. Recommend these 100%

I bought a two pack of these traps to help me take care of a mouse problem. Never dealt with mice before and I wanted something foolproof, and sanitary. These traps looked to be a good solution. When I first got them, they worked flawlessly. I put a dab of peanut butter into the bait cup, and set the traps along walls I knew they liked to run along. I caught 6-8 mice in the first 3 days. Now I'm stuck with smart mice who are able to come in, eat the bait, and leave without triggering the spring mechanism. Instead of eliminating these mice (I think there's 2-3 left), I'm now providing meals for these little jerks. I don't know what to do. Maybe they're too small and aren't putting enough weight on the trigger plate to snap the jaws down? I'm going to order one of these electronic traps that are supposedly more effective as they don't rely on the size of the mouse to trigger the trap. It sucks, tho because I liked these jaw traps and was really encouraged when they caught those 6-8 mice in the beginning. I would suggest the makers of these traps add some sort of control that let's you increase or decrease the sensitivity of the trigger plate. Or even just makes the trigger plate more sensitive.

I have two of them set up but haven’t caught anything yet. But most likely because I already used other traps and repellants. These are strong, seemingly good snap force, easy to bait and set up. The access hole for mice or rats is also a good size. Would recommend this to others.

Definitivamente las volvería a comprar son efectivas y funcionales, evitan que mascotas metan la pata y el roedor no sufre ya que el golpe es demasiado rápido y fuerte. Para liberar la trampa no hay que tener contacto directo solo levantar el seguro y tirar directo a una bolsa o la basura. Seguro y práctico.

Funcionó muy bien. La rata se resistió varios días a comer el cebo que cambie varios durante varios días. Lo dejo como oportunidad de mejora el poder tapar una salida puesto que el roedor ve un túnel y no ingresa a comer con confianza. Además que cuando lo puse en la ruta la rata lo esquivaba.
