I purchased these to open the door of my duck house and keep it open, but they did not hold up very well, popped out of the plastic connector brackets, collapsed once even after tightening as instructed, and seemed to be made inexpensively. I need these to hold up all winter, and the plastic in between metal in 3 places looked like it wasn’t going to last. These might work for lightweight indoor applications, but I would not trust them for outdoor utilities. Also the instructions made ZERO sense and it took a few tries to get the placement right (requiring the drilling of excess holes), and I’m someone who is fairly savvy with measurements and installations.

Built a toy box for grand daughter and installed these hinges to protect her. Instructions were non-existent but was able to look at the pictures on line (Amazon) and install them. Hinges only appeared to hold when the lid was fully opened and there was no soft close even though hinges were tightened with the provided allen wrenche as much as I could. Gave it to my my daughter anyway (my mistake). She was checking it out, opened the lid to show her daughter. Unfortunately, grand daughter got excited and bumped the toy box causing the lid to slam down on my daughters hand, breaking a finger. Had to remove the hinges and lid of the toy box.

Screw in center keeps loosening which causes the lid to slam shut. Defeats the purpose if you need to retighten every couple of times you open it. Bought 2 sets and both act the same way. Will need to try removing the screws and reinstalling them with some loctite

The media could not be loaded.  Soft close...? pretty sure I’d loose a finger. Adjusted tension still did not work... don’t bother with these terrible hinges. Sending back.

Broke 1st day

Very poorly made. They do not soft close at all. When tension is adjust to it tightest, top only has tesista at the begging of the close, then it slams shut. While the top is closed, the arms will fall off also. The little plastic connectors are very bad.

I just installed these on a toy box I just made. Super easy to install. Literally took me 5 minutes to put them on. Absolutely love the lowering positions so that it doesn't slam closed.

they work well to hold the lid up, but they ARE NOT "soft close" hinges as the description claims. They close softly for about 15°, then slam shut so they are NOT good for children's toy chests

I am returning this product and will explain my review of it.1) The instructions are vague, it’s printed on the packaging but does not specify the unit of measure of installation. My wild guess is it’s in millimeter, but I didn’t find it accurate when dry fitting.2) Full disclosure, one leg works as expected. The second leg wiggles because there is space in the hub as shown in the picture (notice the gap in the middle). You can tighten the hub to make the leg support more weight. When it’s loosened to support less weight, some space will develop in the hub naturally. However, for the leg that wiggles, I tightened it to the max and it still wiggles meaning it’s an manufacturing defect. If you can get two working legs and clear instructions, this product deserves 4 stars. But because I didn’t I’m only giving it one star

I bougth 3 of those to install on my 6 doors. As my doors are very lite, i install only 1 per door. 2 firsts went pretty well to install but when installing the other one, the plastic clip that holds the hinge arm broke, so nothing holds the arm in place when opening or closing the door. 4 of this clips broke on install, i had to install tie raps to hold the thing in place. So why 2 stars? I don't want to return them because of the trouble, i will see if the tieraps last for longtime.1- on the 3 kits, only one had the right amount of screws to install it.2- as you open the door, it's very noisy as something is rubbing together. It's not super quiet. But closing is quiet.3- plastic clip holders are super cheap. 4 clips broke on install.4- one of the hinge doesn't keep alays the same tension. I adjust it a bit but still. Soetimes i have to close the door back and reopen it si it stays up.

Make sure you can read a tape measure, but a great sturdy product that once set works great, like the 2 pack as I have 1 extra so when I finish the move I can make another lift door cabinet

Instructions déficientes. Difficile d'installation et d'utilisation. Piètre qualité. Je ne recommande pas du tout.

They don't work well, don't waste your money on them. They are cheap quality.
