Coleman is a trusted name in outdoor living needs. I'm thinking that extends to hurricane prep as well. This cooler seems well made and built to last. The telescoping handle works smoothly enough but could be better. The wheels are sturdy. The size is exactly what I need. Might even get a second one to have one for refrigerated or chilled items the other for freezer items.

This thing has been my travel buddy for the last three weeks. I recently moved and it traveled the 1000+ miles with me without an issue. I’ve also been living the feral life as I search for a new place in my new city. Without anything in it, it’s light weight and maneuverable. When you add ice and products it obviously gains weight and still is maneuverable for a healthy adult. I will say, if you have any trouble lifting heavy object, you should have some assistance. I drive a sedan so it fit nicely in the backseat and didn’t take up anymore room than an adult. The big question that everyone wants answered: does it hold ice for five days? Ya damn straight it does. Just not hotel ice. Don’t blame the cooler. Blame the hotel. I used to work for a restaurant and filled my cooler to the brim with restaurant ice. This was the night before my departure. Restaurant ice is durable and built to last. It lasted five days with no issues. I take that back. The ice is so so solid, I had trouble loading my goodies in it. I had to remove some ice and put it back to get my food and drinks in there. Again, don’t blame the cooler. The next time I had to add ice was when I was staying at a hotel. I’m on day who knows what in a hotel. Hotel ice is trash. I’ve had to refill after a day to a day in a half. I will say, at some point I used gas station ice. It’s the nice go between restaurant ice and hotel ice. It gets costly though. If you’re looking for trustworthy, durable and travels well, this is your cooler.

Nice retention for gel cooler packs, but 2 days max in southern US heat. Drain cap difficult, looks like it will break off easily after a couple of uses like my last identical cooler. Handle janky and finicky just as last one. Good temperature retention, but no more Coleman coolers for this camper. I'm done.

It lives up to the claim that the ice doesn’t melt for 5 days. Took it on a trip to a national park where there was no refrigeration and it was perfect. It also withheld the ice through multiple hours of 95-plus degrees in the bed of a truck. Highly impressed. Will take it everywhere.

Great cooler that's sturdy. However, it does not keep ice for 5 days. I went camping and had to replenish the ice probably 2 times over 5 days. It was summer but not overly hot at the time either. So that was disappointing, but overall I like it. It's nice to be able to fit a large amount of cans, bottles, and food items in this without the cooler being one of the huge long ones. The lid can be difficult to open, but at least it's secure. You just have to pull up on it kind of hard. I love that this cooler has an extendable handle and wheels to make transport easier. While I wish the ice stayed longer, I'm still happy with the purchase.

This cooler is handy for outdoor bbq's, entertaining and also for emergencies. I have had times with a week of no electricity, though that is rare and you can put a block of ice in here and keep food for up to five days. This 50 gallon size will hold seventy cans, so big enough for a picnic assuming 2-3 drinks a person you could have enough for 20-30 people. It will hold 2 liter soda bottles upright. I also travel and one of my trips is often where the food is not to my liking (big group meeting.) I keep fruit and cheese and other foods cool if there is no fridge offered in the hotel room. While some of the premier brands go for hundreds, this is very affordable and does about the same. The instructions even say you can sit on the lid but it does crush under (springs back) so I'd say you can let children sit on it but a big adult should not. The top has four drink holders so with two folding camp chairs you get a sort of occasional table. The handle pulls up and you can wheel it from the car to wherever you need to be. Ice in block will keep your food cooler, and that takes some doing to find these days. You can also use frozen icepacks and cube ice. Items like milk need to be at the bottom. I also find it helps to put foods in plastic bags to keep them from getting wet or from leaking out. It's a bit small for a big family camping trip; you might need a bigger one or two of them if you have a lot of people along.

Love this cooler! We just took it on a 3-week road trip to Florida, and it kept things cold even in the hottest of temperatures down there. It is lightweight and has wheels which made it so much lighter and easier to use than our Yeti. Definitely worth buying.

Recently used this at a four day event during a heatwave and it was still cool (although our ice had melted) when we were leaving (on day 5). I'd placed it on the sunnier side of my van awning too, so it could've been better, had I put it somewhere shadier. We've used it a few more times and it clearly performs better when it's full. We use a combination of ice, ice packs, pre chilled with some frozen food & drinks. The drainage spout is handy but quite flimsy - I'll likely end up replacing this with a stronger, screw shut stopper. Shame the manufacturer skimped on this.

A very good deal with only 60% of market price. item arrived in good condition, no dirty or stretch mark! I put in 3 bags of ice to test the tool. After 3 days there are still have some ices in the cooler. It may not last for 5 days but it definitely works for 3 days at least.. I'm satisfied with the performance!!

Filled with ice immediately, held ice for 5 days without an issue or preparation. Used for family reunion a week later, held ice all day in very hot, humid weather. Only issue I had is the extendable handle for pulling the cooler felt quite flimsy, not quite as strong as I expected, but it never failed or bent of twisted, it just did what was asked and got the job done. Would definitely recommend this cooler to anyone that needs food and drinks kept cold in high temperatures and high humidity.
