RVGUARDRV Roof Vent Cover 14 Inches, Universal Replacement Vent Lid White (2 Pack), Compatible with Ventline (pre 2008) & Elixir Vents (since 1994)

I believe these vent caps to be seconds. 1 step was left out of the manufacturing process. The vent cap slides along an axel it rotates on when you crank it up or down. The receiver for this axel is supposed to be “c” shaped so it will stay on the axel. The receiver on these vent caps is “u” shaped and just falls off. Now it is the consumer’s responsibility to correct this before the rain comes. I have probably done this 20 times in my life in less than 20 minutes. 3 hours in 94 degree heat because I don’t own a sheet metal shop. You need a duplicate steel axel like a long screwdriver of the same circumference to bend the receiver around except for the locking tabs that hold it in position on the vent base.Spend more and work less. I have too much work as it is to do without wasting my vacation time on failed quality control!

I ordered this particular vent cover because it was ABS plastic and not Polypropylene plastic. I paid more money because it was advertised as ABS. ABS is more resistant to impact than polypropylene. I am giving it a one-star rating because of the misleading information that it is sold as and that it is higher priced than all the other polypropylene plastic vent covers. If you want a polypropylene plastic vent cover, simply buy one from someone that sells it at a better price. Don't pay ABS prices for Polypropylene products. This is simply bad business.

This was easy to install on the roof of a 2012 Skyline Nomad. I stupidly went into an area with too short of a clearance and couldn’t turn around. These were inexpensive enough and I’m pretty impressed with the quality for the price I paid.

...got our RV mechanic to do the work!Replaced 2 four year old OEM vent covers that went brittle with UV exposure. These seem to be heavier, thicker plastic.Happy so far and at a decent price.

Terrible vent cover, the hinge was manufactured incorrectly. I posted two photos, the one with my hand in the photo is the vent cover purchased on Amazon, you can see the hinge is incorrectly manufactured. The other photo is a vent lid at my local RV store. Do not buy this vent lid as it won't stay in place. Total garbage and a complete waste of time and money.

The vent cover was exactly what I needed( just make sure that your vent cover is no bigger than 14 inches). It was easy to install and I would also recommend replacing the rubber seal at the same time since it would be easier to replace with the vent cover off.

The product seems to be fairly pliable. Hope it takes small hail better than the last one. The paperwork said it is UV resistant. That will be the next test. These vent covers are easy to install. They were warped a little, bit still fit well. Saved money with the two pack.

It was exactly what I needed fit perfect took off the old deteriated skylights and it was pretty easy to install the new one. Great product!
