It's a great little magnetic holder with really strong magnets. However, I'm not able to fit all of my other brands of carpenter pencils into it, it's too small for them.

Very handy product - rebuilt my front porch and installed new shutters on my house using it. Easy to keep near you for marking lines for cutting.Built in magnets let’s me secure it to the side of my work truck where I set up my saw horses. Or could easily clip it to my side pocket on my shorts with the built in clip.Very cool product!

While the idea is perfect, the holder is made to fit a pencil that is about ⅛" narrower than the pencils you buy at the hardware store. Hot water lets you force a regular carpenter's pencil into the holder.

Very handy! We use and lose a lot of pencils in our shop! No more looking for pencils!

Nice to find a carpenter pencil holder, bonus was magnetic, but it only fits slim octagonal carpenter pencils, which is not sold at the usual retailers. I would have to modify a standard carpenter pencil or the holder itself to accommodate.

Better than any Home Depot stuff
