This man knows his subject but I could not relate to his abstract analysis ofwhat is essentially a personal relationship. I much prefer the approach of A W Tozer.In an academic community Living in the Presence would be more apropriate.

Edwards provides a great road map on prayer and spirituality. It still speaks profoundly and with great guidance in strengthening one's inner world on the faith journey., .

Not a practical book, but a great deal of detail. It works for the author.

Excellent book, well written, clear guidelines and suggestions for calming oneself and entering thoughtfully and in an open manner into prayer.

I haven't finished this book. It has so far been very helpful to me and I look forward to finishing it.
