I've only had this for 1 month, but I feel safe enough to give a 5 star review. The setup was easy as pie; no tools were needed at all, only two fingers. Screw off your faucet cap, screw on the filter director/regulator, and you're done. It was actually easier than attaching my old Brita faucet filter. That thing was a pain in the neck that leaked constantly, and got dirty because it was made of plastic, etc. The Tap Master F2's attachment doesn't leak at all (which is saying something with my old, crusty faucet), and is made of metal/chrome, so it blends in and can easily be washed off. The picture above is misleading; there is a white hose that goes from your faucet to the filter. It's kind of stiff, so you may want to wind it around the filter and swing it back behind your sink knobs to keep it out of the way. The water tastes SO great. I made iced tea in the fridge with this right after I bought it, and WOW, I know why tea always tasted kind of bitter to me now; because the water was bad. Tea tastes soo good now. I can't stop drinking it. I love getting a cold glass of water. I make ice cubes with this too, and even those are nice. Fluoride free is the way to be! I haven't yet changed the filter on it, but when I do, I'll update this review to tell how hard/easy that was too. Overall, money well spent! Update 3-22-12: I just received my replacement filter and had a bit of difficulty getting the bottom to unscrew (probably because I waited so long to replace it, my own fault). You might have to whack the unit against the countertop a few times to break things up to get it to come loose. After that, you just twist off the bottom, lift out the old, drop in the new. The instructions say to clean it with bleach and let it air dry, but it was very clean inside mine so I took the lazy way out. If there was slime or a musty odor, I would have washed it, but there was zero slime and when I sniffed the inside it actually smelled good! Like, I-wanted-to-keep-breathing-it good. Definitely clean, which I was not expecting. Easy process!

Our Needs: Fluoride, chlorine, and misc. other junk removed while keeping good minerals in. Don't want reverse osmosis system-too many essential minerals removed. Reasonably-priced replacement filter ( two popular pitcher filters charge exorbitant fees for replacement filters), Transparency w/ contents of filter media (a popular pitcher will not share the "top secret" filter media-ridiculous!), visibly tolerable to the eye (the pitchers are an eyesore), easy installation (watch the video-it's so clear, an 8 year old could install) Pros: Perfect system for us. Fits male or female faucet end (comes with adaptor). Can order in black to match your countertops/cabinet knobs. We've been using it for about a month and we have no concerns at all! Check the Home Mater website for any questions you may have-it's very thorough! See all other pros above. Cons: None. If you want great tasting water, a reasonably-priced, uncomplicated system, look no further.

This is the second one of this product. I have purchased over the past two years. The water comes out, incredibly clean and tasty without any chemical or chlorine taste after seven minutes of running however, it is incredibly difficult to remove from the box and nearly impossible to get the tape off. I returned the last one for this reason because the part that’s screws on to the kitchen sink screws was badly misshapen. The company makes a truly fine product. It’s just sad that the Amazon company does not perform any testing or any product proof. It screws onto the sink screws which have to be put on in a counterclockwise fashion, but you do really need some correct tools. I held it study with a pair of lock grip pliers, and use some rubbery garden gloves to screw it on if you’re willing to go through that one hour and a half of incredible hassle, it’s probably worth the effort if you look at it over a year.

We lived in a town with awful water. A series of these filters kept us going for a couple of years at a time. Set up was not too difficult. Its vertical profile was not cumbersome on the kitchen sink area. Love the carbon filter, making water clear and tasteless. Good through pressure. Water going in the bottom and out the top tends to NOT create a path of least resistance, pushing the filtration material out of the way in lieu of speedy passage. That is good!

Our old jug style filter was not filtering out the chlorine smell and taste in our city drinking water. This new countertop filter does the trick. It was easy to install and it doesn't take up much room on the counter. We love it! The way it operates by taking water directly from the tap, makes it so easy to use filtered water not just for drinking, but also for filling the kettle, cooking and washing vegetables etc. Great product!

SO FAR EVERYTHING IS SUPER! THE ORIGIANL COMPANY SENT ME A RENCH IN ORDER TO OPEN THE PRODUCT AND REPLACE THE FILTER. EACH TIME I USE THE PRODUCT I MEASURE THE WATER UNTIL I REACH THE MAX CAPACITY. ONCE I REACH THE MAX CAPACITY I WILL CHANGE THE FILTER. THE WATER SEAMS TO TASTE WAY BETTER THAN THE BRITTA. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT FOR ITS SIZE DESIGN AND TASTE. I AM ONLY WORRIED THAT WHEN IT COMES TIME TO CHANGE THE FILTER IT WONT OPEN EASILY. I HAVE NOT TRIED THE WRENCH AS OF YET. WHEN I FIRST RECEIVED THE HOME MASTER I TRIED OPENING IT TO CHECK THE FILTER; HOWEVER, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. FOR EASY ACCESS OF FILTER CHANGETHIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE SOLD WITH THE WRENCH. I THINK ANYONE WOULD BE GLAD TO PAY A LITTLE EXTRA FOR THE WRENCH. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT, AND HOPE THAT WHEN IT COMES TIME FOR ME TO USE THE WRENCH I WILL HAVE SUCCESS! THIS PRODUCT GETS A SUPER DUPER MARK FROM ME! CHEERS!

I bought this countertop water filter because the small town I live in heavily chlorinates the water..I hate the taste but couldn't justify spending a bunch money on bottled water..I've been using a water filter pitcher for a few years but the filters are so damn expensive and only last 1-2 months before needing to be changed..The filter that came with this system claims to last a year or 2500 gallons before needing to be changed which make the filtered water much cheaper than bottled..Only problem is I haven't been able to find the same replacement filter for sale anywhere...Luckily this thing takes common 10 inch filters that are available almost anywhere for a reasonable price so I'm sure I can find a decent filter for it when time comes to replace the one that came with it.
