I don't believe that it is made for use in the cistern as it cleans at source rather than via flush. **Q: Is this product safe to use with a septic tank?** A: How small is your tank compared with the pan in your toilet? This product is easy to use. Firstly, I boil a filled kettle and put the boiled water down the loo. I do this twice and then I put an amount of this in the water, stir it in the water and leave it overnight. It really works. The only negative comment I would have is that the container is tiny and also a funny shape. (See photo.) Quite difficult to get a spoon in the container. The last time I ordered this product the tub that came was huge and lasted me ages so I was quite surprised when this very small container arrived. Maybe they are saving on packaging?
