TYC Cabin Air Filter Toyota/Lexus Replacement Cabin Air Filter

I bought this filter for my Toyota Highlander. It fit perfectly, no issues. However immediately after I changed out the filters, I noticed that though the air seemed to be filtered out more, I did notice more smells coming in while the A/C is on while driving. For example, if I pass by a truck, I could smell fumes coming through the A/C then disappear after a few seconds after passing the truck. This never happened before I changed the filter so I'm assuming its because this filter is thinner than the previous one I was using or that it doesn't help with blocking smells and only filters the air for dust etc.

Local auto shop quoted me $75 (parts and labor) for something that can be done in under 5min for less than $10. Very easy to install. This is a function that’s easy to forget, but when you get around to it it’s amazing how dirty this filter can get. I installed this filter on my 2002 Lexus RX 300.

This filter is a suitable replacement and saved me a lot of money compared to the original one from the dealer. The pattern is different from OEM and the fit was a little tight, but worth it for what I paid since I can change it more often If i like.

Filter fits my 2004 Toyota Highlander so easily.Instructions are included inside the sealed package, or look up Youtube videos on how to do it.(this was my first career cabin air filter change) - it was quite easyTakes a sweaty five minutes tops!Tips - you'll need to peer through the glove box area and be able to see where it is. The first time, you won't know where it is, the 2nd time, you can do this blindfolded. This 72 year old lady was able to easily install the cabin air filter in a 2006 Toyota Highlander. There is a great tutorial on You Tube by YourCarAngel that steps you through this process. Saved me $30 doing it myself.

Fits my 2003 is300 like a glove. however when I run my air conditioning in recirculate mode. It's smells like watered down gas. In fresh air mode there is no smell.... Will update my review to state wether the smell went away or not. Didn't have this smell before.

This filer was installed in my 2002 Highlander Ltd. Size appears to be a tad bigger than the original but works fine after a couple of tries. Have to be sure that you don’t see any part of the filter edge one installed. Will buy this again when needed.
