If using in soap once saponified (Saponified is the process of mixing an alkaline base with an oil extract of your choosing and letting the chemical process change the chemical anatomy of both entering substances until an all together different compound is formed.)In soap sweet almond oil can be combined with tocopheral (Vitamin E, oil) to increase the finished soaps shelf life by a short time. If you are using it as a message oil combined the sweet almond oil with jojoba oil to increase the mixtures overall shelf life by not allowing the thinner oil of sweet almond to become oxidized as quickly being as Jojoba oil is a wax and like most waxes is hydrophobic and will repel water. I use about a gallon of this oil every 2-4 months and honestly I love this oil a lot because of how moisturizing and skin softening it is.If you are making soap I would not exceed 10-15% unless more stiff oils are added to balance the light oil ratio as you will have a very soft soap that may not keep its form out of its mold.I hope this helps out (also sorry if you are a soap maker or are experienced in a similar field I was just prompted to inform you about this product.Oh and there is no need to refrigerate. In fact I hypothesize that if you did refrigerate Sweet Almond oil it would actually oxidize faster if it were refrigerated then left out and allowed to warm back to normal temperature as the molecules of the oil once cooled could except oxygen in the form of condensation inside of the fridge.
