Smooth, strong and excellent value for everyday use
I moved over to this after regularly using ceremonial cacao blocks, mainly because the cost of those blocks adds up quickly if you’re having it often. This has been a much more practical option without feeling like a compromise on quality. Texture: The powder is very fine and smooth. I’ve seen a few people say it doesn’t mix well, but I’ve had no issues at all. It blends easily with hot water as long as you give it a proper stir. No clumps for me. Taste: It has a deep, rich chocolate flavour. Slightly more bitter than ceremonial cacao, but that’s expected and actually works well, especially if you enjoy a stronger cocoa taste. I often add it to my coffee, and it gives a really nice change of flavour. Colour: A proper dark brown, exactly what you’d expect from good-quality cacao. It makes drinks look full-bodied rather than thin or watered down. Value for money: This is where it really stands out. You get a large amount, and it lasts much longer than blocks. Ceremonial cacao has a richer, creamier feel due to its higher fat content, but for everyday use, this is far more convenient. no chopping, grating or melting, just scoop and mix. Health: From a health point of view, it still offers strong nutritional benefits, being rich in antioxidants and fibre, a good source of magnesium, manganese and phosphorus, and containing natural compounds like theobromine that can help support energy levels and mood, making it a practical option for regular use. I’s a solid choice if you want something easy to use, good quality, and much better value for regular use.👍

Naturally good and tasty
It is a fine powder that is good for making hot chocolate, smoothies, or in cake recipes. I find when making hot chocolate, it is better to stir the powder into a little cold water and mix to a paste, then gradually add hot water or hot milk. If you mix the powder directly with very hot liquid, it can become lumpy.

Great cacao powder with lots of uses
Great cacao powder with a lovely flavour, it smells delicious as you open the bag (which is high quality and clearly keeps it fresh). The taste is perfect with the slightly fruity flavour and bitterness and once sweetened it is fantastic. The health benefits of cacao are amazing: high in magnesium and boosts mood. The colour of the powder has that vibrant brown you would expect from cacao. It’s my favourite product and this powder I would say is reasonably priced. I use it to make warm cacao drinks in my velvetiser, mix it with overnight oats and I add it to my protein shakes - oh I even add it to my chilli con carne! Whole family use and love this stuff.

The best quality cacao nibs on the market!
I've been using cacao nibs for over a year now and tried various companies, so have had plenty of time to find a favourite - and that's NaturaleBio. Some other brands (especially a certain "Amazon's choice" sponsored add brand) still have a vinegar like smell & taste, as they've not been cleaned enough after the fermentation stage, some folks like that - I don't, especially as I use cacao nibs in my daily breakfast, smoothies and drinks. I find that NaturaleBio also sift off the husks better than others, so I'm no longer picking out tough husks from between my teeth - husks feel extremely gritty, almost sand-like against tooth enamel, so you'd definitely know the difference between it and actual nibs and not having to deal with that uncomfortableness is brilliant. As an FYI, I'm housebound disabled with multiple chronic illnesses and allergies, so all my food and drink has to be made from scratch by my carers, so needs to be easy for them to prepare, healthy, nutritious, easy to digest and above all, enjoyable! I've certainly found that with NaturaleBio Cacao Nibs, I have all those needs met, the antioxidants help boost my impaired immune system, as well as help regulate my GI transit without triggering my IBS, have a very satisfying crunch and texture and the taste is the best of several brands I've purchased. When my current cacao powder runs out, I'll be restocking with NaturaleBio for both powder and nibs, as they're definitely the best cacao supplier by far! True to their ancient origins, it's easy to see how the Mayans thought of cacao as "food of the gods" and used cacao beans as currency! *Edit 20/08/2020* Okies, so over a year later and I'm still happily purchasing this brand's cacao nibs. They continue to be a great quality product, the taste, texture and density is utterly superb! I find they reeeaaalllyyy do help boost my energy levels and immune system, so I continue to eat them daily as part of my breakfast, as well as a snack when I need a bit more energy or focus, they make a great alternative to drinking more coffee or those awful energy drinks. Considering I eat approx 1 table spoons worth, at least once a day, a 1kg bag lasts me a little over 3 months. While this product continues to do me good and providing it stays affordable, I'll keep on buying it! However, I would utterly appreciate it if these cacao nibs could be added to the "Subscribe & Save" program, so that I could have automatic deliveries, meaning I'll never have to go without, whenever I forget to order more, lol! *Damn you brain fog!* #SpoonieIssues *Edit 20/10/2020* Woohoo! This is now in the "Subscribe & Save" programme! I've just confirmed my subscription, now that's one less thing to worry about and I'll get a discount too, win win!

Claims to be ested for Heavy Metals but no public report
Nice taste, a bit pricey since is organic but the quality is good and the taste is better than anything you would fin on the supermarket. I use it for my porridge, coffee baking etc. Giving only 3 stars since on the label it does say "Tested for Heavy Metals" but the company behind does not provide a toxicology report on their website or amazon. So be cautious about this product and consume it moderately.

5 stelle.

I dumped a spoonful into my morning smoothie last week and immediately noticed how dark it was. Mixed it in and took a sip. That's when I got what all the fuss was about. The chocolate flavor is genuinely rich and deep, nothing watered down or artificially sweet about it. It actually tastes like real cacao, which I guess is the whole point. I've been using it in smoothies, oatmeal, and a couple of baking experiments. Works great across the board. The flavor holds up well whether I'm blending it into something creamy or mixing it into dry ingredients. No weird aftertaste either, which I wasn't expecting at this price point. My one complaint is that it's definitely grittier than some other powders I've tried. Not a dealbreaker since a good blend takes care of it, but worth knowing upfront if you're planning to use it in something smooth. The 14oz bag feels small for the cost, but the quality is there and I'm generally satisfied with what I'm getting. If you want actual cacao flavor and don't mind the texture, this does the job.
