We've been using it a lot over about a month. From soccer practices to shooting hoops with it. For kicking hard at a goal, it's fine.However, this ball has that "sticky" texture...i.e. cheap. I don't like balls like this. I wish I considered this when I was buying it but it was a birthday present and he is more concerned about the look of the ball than the functionality.Balls with this material will grab your foot unexpectedly. Anyone who has played a lot of soccer will know what I mean. As you're cutting and you expect your foot to slide down the ball, it instead sticks to your shoe and will roll your foot awkwardly.I've seen my son fall inexplicably a number of times with this ball and I just figured he was 8 and this will happen. And maybe that's all it was, but it was unlike him. But then when we were playing kids vs parents, I started dribbling fast up the field. As I was making a small change of direction by a light touch to the side of the ball as my foot was coming down, the ball "grabbed" my foot, rolled beneath it, made me do a split and I flopped on my face. That's when I remembered why I don't ever buy these balls at the store. It wasn't the first time I've seen that happen with this type of ball.It happened again to me about a week later, though wasn't quite as bad a fall. We no longer use this ball when playing...only for shooting around for fun.
