Wow, this book is really beautiful. It is thick and solid and the pages are heavy and good quality. And oh my, the pictures are AMAZING. I purchased the Atlas of Human Anatomy and Surgery for my ER nurse husband as a birthday present and we can't stop looking at it. The information is so interesting, the diagrams are so precise and colorful; it's really surprising it isn't far more expensive. If you have a friend in the medical field I think this is a great gift option.

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend in her 1st year of medical school. She LOVES it. While this is not an academic reference book for a current student, she confirmed that the pictures are very accurate and useful. The hand drawn pictures are gorgeous. Note: The book is roughly 8x6x2in. It could be a good coffee table book, but may be on the small side.

The art and visuals in this book are superb. Also interesting to see the surgery techniques. The book is not a large volume and may not be well suited for the coffee table. Regardless, we keep it on a bookcase near the living room and our guests seem drawn to it. We've caught a few thumbing through it looking enthralled.

I’m here for the content and it is great as expected but the exterior was damaged. It came in with a ripped up plastic wrapping around the book. I could tell it was aged, perhaps was laying around in storage for a long time but I was surprised to see how banged up it was haha. I don’t care too much personally about it as long as the pages were all fine and they are. Here are some pictures of my book. Just wanted to warn some people about damages before buying if the state of the book is a priority for you people.
