I’ve bought lots of Folkmanis puppets, but this is, by far, the cutest one I’ve seen. I can hardly wait for my grandson to open the box and put his fingers in the crab’s legs. It brings back fond memories of his dad finding the shell, putting it on the sand, and his mom INSISTING it go back in the water when the crab appeared (after all, your home should not be taken away!)

My 11 year old daughter received this as a birthday gift, she is in love and plays with it daily! Must add that we have 4 hermit crabs as pets as well. It's soft, perfect for nightime cuddling. She is easily able to control the fingers of the puppet and the fabric us well stitched

I collect Folkmanis puppets to use with my preschool class. They loved this one especially! His name was St John, he liked to teach them how to give proper handshakes.All six of the appendages are operable; although (having five fingers) I usually choose to ignore on if the middle legs. It tends to follow along with the rest of them well enough. He can be retracted into his shell, though not smoothly. His eyestalks are not operable, fyi.My hands are large for a woman's, but not exactly massive; and they fit comfortably inside this Puppet.Overall, I am very fond of this Puppet! It is one of my favorites in my collection.

Soft good quality worth the money

The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the crab comes a bit far out of the shell when being used as a puppet. My son loves "Henry" the hermit crab, it is very realistic other than it is huge. The pinchers, eye, shell, everything are just right. And kudos to the seller for getting to me by Christmas because it did not get ordered until late on the 17th. I will definitely keep Folkmanis in mind if I need another animal.If the crab could be removed from the shell or even better was removable and had a spare shell that would have been magnificient. And I would have paid extra for that. But then I would have need to be able to give them 6 stars.

I have hermit crabs in my classroom. I was looking for a puppet that I could use to introduce my new class to how our pets. I was first shocked that a hermit crab puppet actually was available, and that the price was very reasonable. When I got the puppet it was exactly as it was described. It is a medium sized puppet that can fit perfectly on an adult hand. The only reason I'm giving I a four is because I wish that the crab itself could make it all the way into the shell just like our hermit crabs do when they are sleeping or scared.

My mom had A giant hermit crab that she loved so much. She had him for almost 20 yrs. she was heartbroken when he died. I found this puppet and immediately ordered it. He is perfect! The correct details are amazing for a plush puppet. He has helped mend my mom’s heart ❤️

Gave it to a friend for her birthday. She really loved it, says it is decently accurate.The fabric is pretty nice.The arms are a bit hard to move around, but to be expected. Suprise suprise, hermit crabs are not the same shape as a human hand. And if it isnt stuffed it can look a bit deflated, but even just stuffying it with tissues gives it form.Overall pretty solid
