Great cymbal holder!
This holder is very rigid and useful just like any Gibraltar product I've ever purchased..

Very High Quality, Versatile Piece!
Very high quality and intuitively adjustable piece. This was exactly what I needed to modernize the straight bass drum cymbal post mount on my 60’s Sonor Teardrop Drumkit. I needed a more substantial cymbal arm compared to the pencil thin vintage one so I drilled out the mount to accommodate the arm from a modern boom stand but then I needed to top it off with an adjustable cymbal holder that would give me a couple more inches to the left to accommodate a 22” ride and also allow me to achieve the proper tilt and angle toward my seated position and this one did the trick! Gibraltar hardware rocks!

Infinite adjustability and a perfect upgrade for any boom stand and/or or clamp with boom.
Not only are these boom arms super adjustable and mighty, but they are an affordable upgrade from current boom arm in use. No teeth, compression style braking on the tilter is a design win, offering no shortage of choices in very small increments unlike those designed with teeth -which offers way less actual degrees of angle. Replaced an older DW and works like a charm. Couldn't be happier - also affordable, lest I forget about that huge plus.

I love these boom rods. Not real big on the swing nut piece but it's removable.
I have many of these brake tilter boom rods, they are my favorite. Tremendously positionable and super solid without being bulky. I have both the 18" and 12" models, hands down a must have. The drum key lock is a nice cherry on top. That being said this particular model is outfitted with the Swing Nut cymbal mount and I just don't really like these for some reason. Maybe I haven't given them enough of a chance. The Swing Nut is removable however so you can use the rod in the normal fashion, which is what I do. The break tilter is available without the swing nut as well, but this one was a lower price at the time so I chose this model with the comfort of knowing the swing nut is removable.

Versatile, heavy, needed a replacement
It looks and feels very sturdy like most Gibraltar hardware, but the first one came broken at the ball joint (plastic ball part), probably due to inadequate packaging (came in a bag). Amazon sent a replacement, and I'm very happy with it. You can use the whole thing as an over 3ft arm, or different parts of it. The bottom can be a 7/8 to 3/4 piece, the middle I use as a 3/4" extender (because my e-kit has that less common diameter booms). It's a little expensive in my opinion, but I got it on sale. Sizes of the 3 sections: bottom tube: 7/8" and 14" long, opening for 3/4. Middle: 3/4" and 16" long. Top: 3/4" and about 12" long.

DW? Never heard of her.
Bruh! While the DW boom arms I had lasted 14 years, I'm so glad I didn't reinvest in the same. Save $20 and buy these instead. The felt pads are perfect. The boom arm is the perfect length. The tube is the perfect diameter. Everything just fits. You know what you get when you buy DW hardware? You get a product that you know a drummer with gorilla hands is going to be tightening down on. Their threading is worse than brake pads. With these boom arms, the threading is a little more gorilla hand friendly. Better if you can break the habit entirely; which I've done.In the pics, the Gibraltar boom arms are holding my two crash cymbals in the front.Probably gonna buy 2 more.

Strong and reliable
It does what I needed it to do.Used it on a Tama 18 inch club cocktail basket drum as a ride cymbal mount. Works perfectly, fold down lightweight, strong and reliable! Can't ask for more!
