Works perfectly for the Simon 3 Alarm and last a long time after an initial charging
I received the battery a day earlier than expected, and then installed it in my system panel. It was charging slowly via the system panel. I took it out and put in it my charger for fill up the battery (about 1.5 hours on my faster portable charger for 6V, and then placed it back into the system panel. Although the panel didn't immediately recognize the battery was full, it did the next day. Therefore, I advise charging the battery upon receipt if you have an individual charger. This is the 2nd battery I have bought of this same manufacturer. The previous one lasted well over a year. The price and durability is phenomenal. I recommend this product.

Working so far
I bought this battery to replace the battery backup in my alarm system. I was continually getting low battery message. When the battery arrived I installed it in my main control panel. This was approximately 5 PM. I checked the system status and it was still indicating low battery. I checked a few more times throughout the evening. System status still indicated low battery. I went to sleep thinking the battery was no good. In the morning I checked the system status and the low battery message was gone. Not sure how long this battery will last, but it is working for now. Based on my experience, I would recommend waiting at least 12 hours after you install the battery to see if the low battery message goes away before assuming the new battery is not working.

Falty battery
It's very rare that I have anything negative to say about AMAZONE. However, I purchased a battery for my alarm system and that battery is either old or obsolete. It gives me the same code as my old one....that the battery needs to be changed. Not satisfied at all.
