Plano100-Count Handgun Ammo Case | Durable Flip-Lid Plastic Case for Convenient Ammo Storage

These Plano 100 Count Handgun Ammo Cases (for .357/.38spl) are great! They offer a robust, secure, conveniently stackable way to hold ammo in 100-round quantities. The lid snaps shut very securely with two stiff tabs, yet is relatively easy to open. The lid is sufficiently see-through so that you can tell at a glance how many rounds remain, without having to open the lid. It also has grooves in the lid so that when multiple containers are stacked, they are much less likely to slide around or off each other. The hinges also operate smoothly and seem durable.I haven't dropped one of these containers so I can't be sure of the overall durability; however, the plastic appears identical to many of Plano's more sturdily built plastic tackle boxes (which in my experience hold up very well, with great scuff resistance and good crack resistance). That said, if you dropped one of these containers while fully loaded with 100 rounds, the considerable, concentrated weight of all that ammo would likely be enough to crack the lid or bottom. That's really not the fault of this product, since these are mainly intended to be used as secondary organizers (not main containers), such as to keep .38/.357 reloads organized and protected inside a range bag. In that roll, they will be plenty durable.

I have always had respect for any Plano products and these are no exception. The best thing about these cases is the hinge. The hinge in not a solid piece of plastic like so many other cases which eventually breaks from the constant bending when opening and closing the lid. The thickness of the plastic is great, it won't wear out in my lifetime. And the holes for the cartridges are sized perfectly to hold them securely while allowing them to be easily extracted. A great quality product for someone who reloads their own ammo.

I don't know which this is for. I ordered boxes for 9mm, 357 & 38. Looking at the ones I've received. They look great for the ammo that goes in them. It's going to be easy to get shell's out of them to reload the three guns I'll be using them for. If by chance they rattle a little bit. All I have to do is get some thin pieces of foam & cut to fit each one. That will take care of the rattling problem. I read in some of the reviews that other customers sent in. Some of them had done this.I like the way they are made & the way they close & the way clover snappy closed.Thanks for a good product .I would recommend your ammo boxes to anyone that might ask me where I purchased them.I may order some more in the future if I need more romantic for more ammo.Again thanks. I was looking for the model 122400 for 9mm ammo case. It loads into my speed loader perfectly. This product is 122500 and does not look or perform like the 122400. This is a problem when you shop on line as you can not verify the product. PIA to return even for AMAZON They steal my time!!

Better quality than I had expected. Would have rated higher but I just don't know about the durability (yet).But wanted to go ahead a review in case others have questions about the build quality, which appears to be very good.

Purchased one of these initially to store my .357 mag ammo for my old Ruger blackhawk .357 mag revolver. Shipping was fast and the item was securely packed in the shipping box. I've had no issues so far with the ammo case. I've taken it to the range several times, probably been through about 500 or so rounds worth of use in this one.This is obviously not a airtight or water-proofed enclosure, and the old "you get what you pay for" saying comes to mind when I think of my rating for this. Being that this is very cheap and I didn't buy it to keep outside of my humidity controlled gun safe, I can safely justify giving this a 5-Star rating.Overall I would recommend this to others, and I plan on buying a few more of these when I can find another .357 Blackhawk I like.

Liked the 40 cal so I bought this for my 38. Also bought one for 9mm. Plano quality. Holds 100 rounds (two full boxes) in little individual squares. Closes tightly but is not waterproof. I don't expect or need it to be, Im a hunter / target shooter not a SEAL so I wont be taking my ammo scuba diving... Has a fairly useless little hasp for a tiny lock or maybe a seal or zip tie. I don't know as I don't use that feature. This is what it is - an extremely affordable and neat way to store 100 rounds of 38 Spl or 357 Mag. Ive got 4 of them in different calibers and will no doubt be buying more in the add on program with various orders.

Price WAS right when I purchased them, They work.. they hold bullets HOWEVER, I went to order a few more but the price went doubled.. too bad so sad, I bought someone else's product

Plano ammo boxes are the best. I own several of these for different calibers and also a large bow case, they make quality cases that will last a lifetime.I highly recommend these over lose ammo!
