I was able to assemble this hammock stand myself (and I am not the handiest individual). Very sturdy. Materials look as though they will last long and hold up to wear and tear. The appearance of the hammock when assembled is ... not typical ... a little peculiar. I assembled this hammock stand with Zupapa Large Cotton Rope Hammock Upgraded Bamboo Foldable Curved Spreader Bars, Double Hammock, recommended hanging distance: 13 - 15 ft. Worked well mostly, except the hammock is quite high off the ground (maybe 3+ feet) when unoccupied. I am only 5' 3". So It's a bit of a challenge to get into the hammock. Using a chair helps. Once I get in the hammock, the ropes stretch and the hammock sinks to a comfortable few feet above the ground. Comfortable. Sturdy.

Everything comes apart to fit nicely into a bag so we could take it camping. It is a bit heavy but it is strong to hold up 2 people in a hammock. Definitely what we were looking for and very happy with product.

I bought this stand to use with a hammock that I purchased from Amazon to see if I would like a camping style hammock. Since where I currently live doesn’t have trees at the right spacing, I got this. The package arrived early and the weight to me feels heavier than what Amazon said it was. Took it out and gave it a quick assemble. It went together nicely. I actually tried it on a weekend with the hammock and for the most part, I’m very impressed. The hammock ends did flex. some with my weight (approx 221lbs) but other than some light flexing, held up great! Now the things I’m not a fan of. I feel that the chains and the system used to hold the chains to the frame could be better. The chain IMHO is too short for the style of hammock I have. The hooks they give you I’m not a fan of either! They do not snap to the chain or the buckle system on your hammock. Other than this, I really like the product and plan on using it whenever the weather permits.

So I researched for quite a while on a hammock stand. Everything from bowing to caving in. I wasn't ideally sold at spending a good chunk of money on some metal that would snap. So I chose this and I'm happy I did. Comes with a bag for storage which is nice for winter time. Set up was quick and easy. We have the quilted flat waterproof hammock, not the burrito looking ones. Its a bit heavier but I was happy to see it fit quite well. Me and my kids can all fit on it and that's like 200 pounds. No bending or poles snapped. Moving it is a breeze and you could easily take this somewhere with you if you wanted with the bag thats included. It's been up for 2 months with plenty of use and life. The most weight we've tested was 2 people at 360lbs and it was fine. **Two years later it is still going strong. Been outside all 2 summers and stored in the winter (the bag is a huge plus) plus a few wind storms. There is a little rust by the pin holes but nothing insane. Great product!

I placed the order through Amazon and the delivery expected date was later than I was hoping. No one’s fault but my own could have ordered sooner, but it was a last-minute purchase for my grandkids to enjoy during their visit. I sent an email to the company and asked if there was any way they could expedite my shipment so I would have it in time to enjoy. Without any questions they gladly offered to assist, and my new hammock stand arrived in just a couple of days. Upon receiving the hammock stand we opened it up and was able to put together with ease, and it is working out perfectly for our needs!! We have had this hammock stand for about a month now and my wife uses this hammock stand daily with no issues. We have never had a hammock stand before but this one seems fine so far. The sides of the frame flex inward a little bit from the weight when someone gets into the hammock (wife is 115 lb and I am about 200 lb) but it still seems strong enough for one very large person or two smaller people, not sure if I would take a chance testing the 550 lb. rating though based upon how the sides flex inward when I get into it. Hopefully the poles flexing when people get in and out will not cause a problem over time, but right now it seems like a great hammock stand for the price.

Easy to put together an solid contruction I like it.
