Smooth casting.
Spooled up with 10 lb spiderwire and a 10 lb flouro top shot with FG knot.Primary target species are large carp and catfish 6 to 15 lb range.The casting and retrieve is super smooth, the drag is phenomenal. A 10 lb common carp in the river is a heck of a good time and on the lighter line really gives the drag a work out.Bait Runner works perfectly but as people have mentioned it is rather quiet, not loud at all, but I think that's why it's so smooth of operation.So far, it's an amazing reel for the cost, caught quite a few nice size fish, paired up with a Bass Pro Shop pro qualifier rod 7 ft med fast action.

Great Product
Really a great real and at an affordable price. Daiwa is know for their great product lines and this is no exception. The real action is smooth and has a lot of different features. The bite and run part is great but sometimes there is a little bit of a hang up when reeling to switch the modes, but I doubt you would notice when you hook a fish. There is also a switch that allows the reel to reel in both directions.

Smooth reel but bait runner alarm isnt loud enough
Awesome smooth reel but the clicker for the bait runner isnt loud enough to warn you.

bien que je n utilisais que du Shimano dont les aero x 4000 baitrunner et aero x4000 match avant leurs disparitions et reproduction en 2020 au prix devenu exorbitants mon choix c est porté vers Daiwa avec lequel j ai pêcher plus jeune dont les 1er baitrunner ...je savais que j avais pas trop de risques à prendre concernant la qualité Daiwa .esthétiquement sobre et très bien aboutis ,au rapport poids taille idéal surtout pour mes pêches au method feeder ,la qualité des roulements et la fluidité est au top rien à envier au finale aux Shimano qui était ma marque phare .a voir cependant dans le temps mais rapport qualité prix parfait
