Gardall SL4000F Heavy Duty Concealed Wall Safe

This is a great safe for storing cash and small valuables like jewelry. I can't find a place to pry the door open with a crow-bar or other tools. Ripping it from the walls 2x4's would take about a minute and then it can be carried away. I have bought 2 of these and I love them. It may be worth having it mounted in concrete or to thick-gauge steel for true security. The face is flush to the wall, so a painting or mirror fits nicely over it.

Be warned: the combination mechanism is made out of PLASTIC... not cool on a safe that cost this much... Otherwise it works... but combo should be made out of metal not ABS plastic... gives it a cheap feel..

This is a solid and sturdy safe. Great quality for the money. I do wish that it was larger in size but it fits quite nicely in the wall. Installation was simple and it conceals very nicely inside the wall. I have a picture hanging over the front of it and you can't even tell it is there. I would have liked to have the option of using a key to open it. I am in and out of it a few times a day and it can be annoying to use the combination every time.

Responding to "wish there was a way to change the combo". There is; use an S&G 3 wheel change key. Google-fu will reveal details and change procedure.

I love it. Heavy and heavy duty. I little tough to get into the studs...but I am hoping that translates to even tougher getting out. With there was a way of changing combo (only gripe)
