Easy install and works great.
Install was very straight forward and it holds the motor securely to the boat. Not much more to say.

Makes it easy to remove. Quiet
Installed it on my pontoon boat on the bow. Works perfectly to mount my motorguide Xi3 trolling motor. Had to shop around for a bit to find a padlock that would fit. I found it at Lowe’s. I included pictures of the lock and model number. Highly recommend aluminum quick release.

Aluminum Quick Release
Paid the price for a “new” product. Took it out of the Amazon packaging and could instantly tell this was a used and returned item. Unit is all scratched up, which isn’t a huge deal since it’ll be under a trolling motor. However it seems like half the hardware is missing and in a ziplock sandwich bag. Some of the stainless screws are stripped and will need replaced. Pretty frustrated at this point. I also purchased a “new” motorguide Xi3 and it too, was used and actually broken beyond use. That was September 16th 2022. I’m not sure if I’m just having bad luck with motorguide products right now or what. If my replacement trolling motor (which I have to wait another week for) is in anyway used or tampered with, I’ll save the extra dough and go with Minn Kota.

Poor quality hardware
Worst mounting hardware I've ever worked with. Nylock nuts froze on cap bolts before becoming fully seated. Had to cut off and replace with new hardware. Problem solved but extremely inconvenient. Recommend replacing all cap bolts and nylock nuts before beginning installation.

Good fit and easy to install and use
Very nice fit for my Motorguide trolling motor. The only problem I have is that it could provide a better locking system for the mounted motor to avoid theft. It only supports a very small padlock. I know it's designed to easily remove the trolling motor, but I don't want to do that everyday. I use a supplemental cable lock to secure my trolling motor to the mount.

Most of the bolts furnish where not usable for a installation on a Legend X18 they where way to long . A trip to Canadian Tire and $20 later everything is OK
