Very subtle shimmer, pearl, & opalescence, & that’s great for me because I would have loved it even if it were completely flat. In fact, I’m now looking to purchase another Vinylux sheer soft pink that is completely flat. I saw some reviews complaining that it’s not opaque & too sheer even after 3-5 coats. This is 100% true, but that’s exactly what the “Product Details” describe it to be under the “Top Highlights” section. If it wasn’t sheer, I would’ve never purchased it. I received it yesterday, & painted my nails last night. This does look like an American (French) manicure on my nails, but I assure you it is not. I properly filed & buffed, acetone to dehydrate, 1 coat of ORLY Rubberized Base Coat, 2 thin coats of Negligee color, 1 Coat of the CND Shine Top Coat, rhinestones, 1 coat of ORLY Quick Dry Top Coat after curing the rhinestones to secure, & cuticle oil. I waited 9-10mins between each coat with a fan (3 mins only after base to ensure tackiness still present). I included 2 photos from last night right after I finished & added some rhinestone embellishments with rhinestone gel glue & a uv light to cure (all 3 also purchased on desertcart). The last photo is my nails with only clear polish a few wks earlier for color reference. Polish went on easy & very smooth, not too thin/thick, no streaks, nice size brush too. $12 is an ok price if it actually lasts a week w/o chipping. Next time I’ll try without the ORLY base & ORLY top coat to evaluate the CND Vinylux duo on its own, but I didn’t want to risk it not lasting this time, or risk the rhinestones falling off before my event.
